It was great we could get together for the Zoom call tonight. Here's where we begin next week:

IMPORTANT BULLET POINTS

You are all drow.
You have no connection to each other up until the start of the campaign.
You are all from the City of Menzoberranzan.
None of you are or were slaves.
You are to tell no one (drow or otherwise) of what you're doing other than the ones you travel with.

CAMPAIGN START BULLET POINTS

Each of you have been called to "duty" due to some area of expertise you possess.
Your area of expertise is determined to be an asset for the success of the mission.
You are being given the opportunity of "departure" from your house or connection to the City if you succeed in the endeavor.
The reason you were chosen is your unknown, unimportant and inexperienced drow status.
Failure to succeed or any furtive plans of not completing it will result in death. No connection to your house should be offered if captured.

MISSION

You are being sent to the Dark Lake which is one of the largest subterranean lakes in the Underdark to locate a staff called Tempest.

This is Sean - John, wow not only are we both rogues but we bot have similar backgrounds ... that is crazy, scary and funny all at the same time. Below is a clean up version of what I posted 2 days ago. Xar'Zin Faen'Sszar is not part of any house, but has had dealings with and has been in good standing with several of them. Xar'Zin owes a favor to House Mizzrym, and they have decided to collect on that favor. Failure is not an option, for that will be a cost that he would not want to pay with his life. Xar'Zin is indebted to House Mizzrym for his training. Every so often, the Master of Shadows of the house goes out among the houseless to find young disposable whelms that show promise in skill and trains them. Many do not make it through the training. Those who did work for the House unofficially, and owe a debt, a favor that can be called in at any time. Xar'Zin was among the Houseless whelps that showed potential. Xar'Zin’s potential was folded into discipline, his lack of status refined into focus. He was not trained in the blade alone, but in the arts of deception, infiltration, silence, and sabotage. The teachings were brutal, but personal—tailored to him, shaping him into something that House Mizzrym could use, deniable tool, however, they also shaped him into something that the Underdark would never expect, a male who could rise not through brute strength or status, but through intellect, patience, and subterfuge

Now that I know all our details I am in the process of writing like a fiend. SO MUCH TO DO WITH SO LITTLE TIME!

The Tempest!? Geez, sounds a bit overpowered to me!

Now, keep in mind, not only do I have much to do but so do you. Some things on your part:

Character history write-up knowing the details now.
Character mini (if it is something I have I, or you, must repaint it)
Character write-up complete and ready for review before we start the first game.
Picture of you PC sent to me. I'll post it on the boards.
Probably a good time for a $20 chip-in. I am going to have to make all new laminated character condition cards. spell sheets, initiative pips, new character sheets printed, new mission printed, new campaign written and printed and forget about the HUGE maps for this as that cost would be something completely different but MUST be done. I'm sure much more that don't come to my immediate mind but I'm getting excited now after our talk! This is going to be fun!

I promise I will not bankrupt our budgets.
