So tonight, the entire group fell to the deadly tricks of the kobolds (again)! Everyone rolled up new stats and next week will be bringing in new characters. Was this a shock to me? 100%! I never expected this to happen. I am somewhat disappointed as I wanted the storyline and wanted this group to continue. However, random dice rolls don't even cater to what the DM wants. So be it.
I think by now you all know as DM I pull no punches. If you win you win if you lose you lose. I hope none take offense to this and see the extravagant risk and reward in our world. Krinthius is dangerous and adventurers seek out this danger, It will never be easy but you as players have proven that you can achieve pretty high level with previous characters!
I think you have come to recognize how hard it is to reach the highest level ever achieved as a character (my sister at 19th level - Magical Sapphire). Maybe one of these new characters can achieve this status!
The nice thing about TPKs are freedom from the burdens and mistakes of the past group...a fresh clean slate. I am sure the new group will explore Keep on the boarderlands too ...but a good thing when they do so it will be freash, shiny, and new ...lol
TPK by a little doggie. Humiliating! Need to go back and eliminate this puppy.

We all knew we had several opportunities t leave the cave you gave us both implicit and explicit hints about leaving. After everyone fell, my character could have easily left but however, but Xandor wanted to try to negotiate with the kobolds so that he could leave with his friends. We knew the risk when we started and it is that risk that makes our game exciting and fun when we do succeed. I am disappointed about that losing that storyline. Moving forward, I am super excited about the new campaign and can't wait to see how things unfold for the group
So next week the game will begin as part of a crew aboard a pirate ship (see other post for details about the ship, crew, etc.). You will have to decide a couple of things for your personal character.
1) How did you become a crew member on this pirate ship?
2) How long have you been a part of this crew (choose between 1 day up to 7 years)?
Let me know.
Without danger there is no fun....
I am not angry. TPk are part of the game. Some you win, some you dont.
