The Sea Dogs have finally taken a step away from Desicus and are about to negotiate with an elf from the Quel' Thalas Forest for different work. An elf, by the name of Selenar Caisilorseems to want the group to undertake something MUCH different than what they've been involved in. Details and payment shall be discussed next week!
Picture of Selenar Caisilor has been posted under pictures! Take a look and browse all the NPC's you've encountered for fun! Gives them "LIFE"!
Kylor Speaks;I am very interested in seeing what Selenar Caisilor, has to say. We are just outside of the Quel' Thalas Forest so I wonder what task he has that needs to be completed.
I have thought long and hard about Kylor's actions and inactions. Kylor knows that he messed up by allowing Desicus to play his games with him; which caused him to doubt if the group would be successful truly. In that doubt, and weakness, Kylor did not even realize that Desicus stole something from him by accepting his offer for survival. Desicus stole his chosen family and his honor. Kylor truly regrets his acceptance of the deal that Desicus offered. Kylor has genuine remorse. Kylor knows that this is s situation that will take time and that his actions will speak louder than any honied words that he could use. From this point forward, Kylor is going back to what made him a good leader his unfailingly loyalty to the group, and willingness to put himself in danger for the good of the group. trust is not just broken with Taladel... it was broken with all of the SeaDogs.
Maybe the group needs to do a "neutral" mission. What I mean by this is something which pays well, is not targeting any immense evil, is not targeting any specific creature type, is not race requested (elf, gnome, dwarf, human, etc.), is not epic in danger, one where all players are pretty equal with their abilities dealing with the enemy and is just fun and different.
Desicus screwed with the group in so many ways, and many were simply through his words. He made you think and believe things which may not have been true. He turned the group upon each other out of fear and a desire to survive. He led you into a "trap" having you hunt him down on the abyss. He allied with a female demon whom he fooled into hating you as much as he did. He mocked you, ridiculed you and laughed each and every time he had the chance in order for you to take action maybe not fully prepared or ready and without doubt some uncertainty on hunting him down.
It was a long-term plan for Desicus, and in reality, you were just "toys" he played with. He didn't care whether you lived, died or vanished. He took delight in causing you turmoil and worry in your minds each and every day of your life.
He never viewed you as a danger to his survival. He was never worried or concerned if you came for him as he was prepared if it did happen and knew he would survive. In reality he wanted you to you survive and remained on the prime plane so he could continue his game with you!
It was a tough night, but I give credit to the entire group that they were able to "hold on" to Taladel for now. I'm sure group actions will play a part on his continued journey, but we shall see as only you three Sea Dogs (Kylor, Sindrax and Quavol) can convince him to stay!
Now, I hate to say this but maybe some Sea Dogs would rather see him go? AS DM I don't, but as a player you may have a much different perspective and that's how it should be played (as character).
Last night was kind of crazy. I had no idea what was going to happen. On my drive to the game. A thought did pop up in my head. And I did think, wow this could be the last night for the sea dogs. I was very happy to see that we could continue, for at least another week. And maybe that will be my mindset moving forward. Taking things week, by week. I do wonder if even after weeks of continuing on, will it just fall apart. During one of these games. And if it does. I truly understand why, it would happen. I feel no one really trusts anyone in the group. Maybe some trust other more then some. But I dont think anyone has 100% trust with anyone in the group. And then I wonder about were the captain and wicked wench falls into this scenario. The captain could possibly make things better or make them much worse. At some point we have to go back
I believe that the group needs some time to take a beat, to catch their breath, before heading back to the Captain. The group needs to tend to its wounds before heading to the Captain. I do not believe it would be in the SeaDogs best interest to return to a shark tank while the group is still bleeding. Perhaps the work that Selenar Caisilor has for the group is something we need. I think that the Planetar was wise enough to understand that; perhaps this was his gift to the group so that we can heal some of our wounds.
