So, tonight was mainly a big battle against a very intimidating bandit group. It was a fun and exciting battle which the group eventually won although all bandits were not eliminated. You did meet some interesting characters today as well.
First was Lorda the Sprite who assisted in reincarnating Viceak. We also gained an ally in Tashi the Satyr on the Happy Hunting Grounds. He was very helpful and seemed to be trustful.
In the end you are still on the Happy Hunting Grounds but have a direction to get home through Tashi the Satyr and Lorda the Sprite. The real question is:
Are you leaving or maybe considering staying here a bit longer where you've made allies and seem somewhat welcome? Have you considered making this plane your home with adventures, allies and wonders that could never be imagined on the Prime Material Plane! What a game!
Sean Speaks: I agree with the need to return to Montravail to inform the city of what has happened to Principal Pouesal however, we do not have ALL the facts of his demise, and almost all of what we know is purely speculation. Remember friends we all know that when informing the authorities and great leaders, it is not enough to beware of a situation, we need to know all the facts of the situation and usually propose a course of action that can take care of or correct the situation. At this point I don't know what to do to move forward
I would love to stay in the happy hunting grounds, I really would. But from a RP perceptive. Our characters would need to get back to Montravail. I just can't see, us going off on an adventure for fun. When there is truly a need to get back to Montravail. It like having the cure for covid, but instead of getting to the medical personnel, let's stop and go see a movie. And then after the movie lets go out to dinner. Then maybe we will get the cure, to the big wigs.
Sean Speaks: I just can't wait to see how everything unfolds for the group. As always everything is based upon our choices good or bad.
DM Speaks:
I think in the end the group wants and needs to return to the Prime Material Plane and Montravail. Information as to what happened needs to be shared. However, that doesn't mean there can't be adventure on your way to the portal. I have some really exciting and requested stuff planned for you ahead.
All good posts and points. Remember that with a little work as a player you can always create a reason or rationale to do what you want as a player. No, you cannot completely alter reality, but you can bend it a bit.
Xandor Speaks:
My friends, One thing Principal Pouesal stressed upon us when informing the authorities of great cities like Montravail and great leaders, it is not enough to beware of a situation, you need all the facts of the situation and possible course of action to take care of the situation. However, we are young and we have not completed our training. I am sure they will appreciate our commitment to Montravail. I think we have an opportunity to prove to them their investment in us was truly worthwhile. Perhaps, we can see if we can learn more about the planes. It may be possible that we may learn that nothing is what it seems to be on the surface. We need to be united in our course of action and our outlook on how to proceed forward if we are going to be successful in whatever path we choose.
Yes in game Taladel wants to get back to Montravail badly...to return home to tell of the fate of our Principal and hopefully shake this Lich who has been on our ass
Out of game, Mike wants to take his time in finding a way out, and enjoy being here while it lasts...
I feel this decision is based on RP. I just dont see why we would stay and adventure, when there is a need to go to montraville. I feel as wwarvok. Montraville should know what has happened, ASAP. I just dont see how explore and looking for treasure over rides that. Plus we are not really an adventuring group. We where put together by montraville for some reason, and I dont think it was to adventure, for ourselves. That's the issue I have about with the hunting grounds plane.
As DM I'd like it too, but it's up to the group.
Would be cool to remain in THHG and explore further. We are adventurers and there is no rush to get back home.
DM Speaks:
If the decision is to travel home, there may still be adventure on your journey to the portal. We shall see as it could be uneventful as well. In the end you have to decide what you want before next game with regards to staying, leaving or remaining here a bit. If you do return home, I'd consider your first stop would be to Montravail to inform the city of what has happened to Principal Pouesal. Remember you do not have fact of his demise.
Xandor Speaks: My friends, I am curious about this plane however, my sense of duty and obligation to Montravail and our mentor Principle P outweighs my personal interest. Our great City deserves to know what has occurred to Principle P and for us to return to our studies so that we can fulfill our obligation and duty to the city. The last few encounters should have underscored how much we still have to learn. That said, I see that greatness within each of you that Principle P spoke of. The raw talent is not enough we need true training and guidance.
The only thing is, aren't we supposed to get back to montraville. I feel that group would want to get back to tell what has happened to the principal.
I am up for staying here a while....we will not have a chance to visit another plane for potentially 12-15 levels which could be years of real time!
Wow staying in this plane could be kind of crazy. I mean we never did anything like that before. It certainly has my intrest,, because it just sooooo different. Maybe we should consider it.
