We can only hope now that this insane sea elf finds a peaceful existance in this second chance....
I was so torn in how to proceed here
It would be evil to kill this prisoner
And cruel to leave him here
But I fear it was irresponsible at this point to free him and leave him to his own devices..
Might have been better to bring him somewhere he could get some help and guidance. It just would have taken more time than we had to find the right place
I pray to Iomedae he finds the right path...
I will be looking for him in our travels moving forward!
The Crazed Sea Elf Swims ~~~~~~
Where and for what purpose?
Kylor Speaks: This Sea Elf Situation was one that truly tested one's moral outlook. We found a Sea Elf prisoner who was locked up for 700 years. I agree it would have been evil to kill him. It would have been cruel and wrong to leave him in a cell. Yes. Quavol provided insight into this sea elf's murderous past history, but 700 years had past. It was hopeful that he wanted an opportunity for redemption, and that after 700 years of imprisonment that he may have deserved a second chance. Unfortunately, he played me, and I feel responsible for his release. I pray that Desna will provide us with luck and that he will be guided to redemption and change. We may have an opportunity to run back into this Sea Elf and if we do we can see if he has changed and sought out redemption; if not then we may have an opportunity to correct this mistake.
DM Speaks:
It was a tough role play and decision for sure. However, I was surprised that he was given a chance after Quavol gave insight into this sea elf's murderous past history with his people. Was enjoyable to play out with all.
I really wish I was able to spot him, when he started telling us he was going to kill others, after his release.
