DM Speaks:
Tonight, there was a situation involving a guild master that was avoided. Could the group have defeated him? Maybe, but I'd guess it would have been at losses and even if you "won" I think he may have escaped before his death and been an antagonist moving forward. The group did exceptionally well in this situation.
The 4th piece was not found but you did find the Pickled Punk who I assure you will be seen again. Just too much character. He is in pickle juice (the green around him), thus the "pickled" punk.
Kylor Speaks:
This is one of those situations where our lives and well-being outweigh the risk and potential outcome. We were outmatched due to home-field advantage, potentially outclassed by the guild master, and we did not know anything about the strange pickled Pete creature. Yes, it cost us some gems, but the Seadogs can continue their mission for the Captain and ultimately our goal of defeating Desicus. I was unsure if Taldel would be able to go along with the group, but I am glad he was able to do what was needed for the ultimate good.
Taladel speaks:
I must admit I would prefer to work to bring this guidmaster to justice. We have other proirities after fulfilling our obligation to the Captain..and deeper evils than this! Desicus must remain our only focus directly from here, as our leader has so decreed!
OK so it did not go up to the surface...wanted to make sure. Thanks!
I was extremely nervous with that situation. I was never thinking a guild master was in there. Thought it would just be a bunch of low level rogues. With the right move. He could have probably taken us out, one by one. And we dont even know about the pickle boy. What could he do?. I hope the piece is not in that lair. But I could also imagine what good stuff he would have in that lair. One thing I thought of, after the encounter of course. If wanted a secret lair. Why put it in the area labeled dark hideout. And why put all the black rocks around it. It just seems like those 2 things would be unnecessary attention to his hideout. He seemed very cautious about us leaving and telling others about it. Seems like he could make it,.more hidden by addressing the outside landscape.
Mike speaks:
Was the cylinder we traveled in going up to land?
I was not totally clear on how we were in rocky terrain?
I think I missed something coming in when i did...
