DM Post #1
First, I am starting at Post #1 since the site is new. We have to leave the past behind and start anew. It will not be easy.
So, I have a mass of stuff! Too much crap to put away and I continue to buy. Yes, we all know I have a problem. However, this obsession is good and fun. I just need to figure out, with me being the oldest, when I die where it goes. Who wants 100,000 minis and another 10,0000 pieces of terrain? I don't even know the numbers anymore but unless Justin wants them, they are yours! Now don't start hoping for my early departure to get the goods! Let's not even start with accessories!
DM Post #202:
A whispering in the wind says a former enemy of the previous group and one that caused a game to end has met his match! This one felt he could enter the domain of Moloch, the Lord of the Sixth plane of Hell and destroy his rulership and cause chaos amongst the Hell's. Unfortunately, he failed as his demonic lady betrayed him in order to save her own life. This aspiring god is now said to be imprisoned on the 6th plane of hell by Moloch! His chaotic nature is now bound by the laws of hell!
DM Post #201:
There are many things ahead for this group of unnamed drow strangely led by Linli a female gnome. Some things you may choose to do, but there is much you are unaware of. This may be missions or work ahead which can lead you in various directions and choices of random things which just happen as you journey. MY POINT: Unknown - BUT FUN I ASSURE YOU!
ADD:
IF you return to Menzoberrranzan one MAY not be continuing with the group! I said MAY NOT!
DM Post #200:
For post #200 I had to add a little sizzle. The sizzle is in game where I know you all love Convention. NO, we are not having Convention as I am sticking strong to who and where you are as characters. Your city of Menzoberranzan does not have Convention, nor does the Underdark. However, Menzoberranzan certainly tests their drow, especially the males. Wait? That's you!
So, yes you 4 male drow may be engaged in some competitions to see how well you fare. There are prizes for the winners but oh such serious consequences for the worst of the losers.
DM Post #199:
Bought command strips for the display maps on the wall tonight which ran $12. Took it from our gaming stash. We have $15 remaining in our game stash need.
DM Post #198:
I was actually wondering tonight if we would ever change to a new rule system? I LOVE 3.0/3.5 and have absolutely no issue with it. However, sometimes change can be fun. Yes, it can be just as hard as fun, but fun trumps hard. I am in no way saying we are switching editions but in years upcoming if something really fresh, fun and new came out I wouldn't deny it simply for the sake of our current rules and the ease it is for the DM. The game is for all. Just keeping you aware of my open mind to the game, rules and fun for ALL.
NO CHANGE A COMIN', JUST A POINT!
DM Post #197:
A little insight into the beginning paint of 2 of the Mastron Mothers. Their paint is just starting.
DM Post #196:
Looking at the many gargantuan sized minis I'm working on I wondered something!? These gargantuan beasts look quite formidable but how smart are they? They always show a massive sense of strength and damage but how often do they express great intelligence or planning? Imagine a gargantuan creature displaying both power and exceptional intelligence and planning? Worrisome at the least and I'd say something I find interesting! 😉
DM Post #195:
After what has felt like decades the group has finally accepted an NPC into the group. Most surprising is that you immediately allowed this newcomer to claim leadership of the group. This female gnome named Linli, does not come alone. Alongside her is a trained basalisk named Bilsbi! What a duo to join this male drow group from Menzoberranzan! Pictures of Linli and Bilsbi have been posted to the pictures section. Tell me what ya think! Is this what you expected for their images or not?
And for fun how about a 200 xp bonus for sending me the text or email of "Linli and Bilsbi"!
DM Post #194:
As I paint your PC minis I wanted to offer some expectations. DO NOT expect flashy colors as the drow wear purples, deep reds, dark blues, dark greens and black. They are not flashy with colors and are more drab than most other races. However, their white hair makes an impression upon their dark skin color and garb.
NONE are done, but I've gotten much further tonight. When will they be done? I'm not sure as when done I want you to enjoy the paint scheme and if not, happy I can change it. You all have somewhat similar paint schemes all coming from Menzoberranzan and being drow.
Part of MY problem is identifying each mini to their character on the battlefield as they're all DROW with dark skin and white hair 🤣
And for 50 extra xp's text, email or somehow send me the message "Let's Get this Campaign Going".
DM Post #194:
I must give credit where credit is due. I mentioned I was going to need to buy a bunch of drow minis for this campaign. Issue was that there weren't that many and many are quite expensive. If I wanted 20 drow warriors that could cost $100+ which I was not about to do. However, Sean mentioned why not just buy elf minis and use them as drow with a repaint.
Well, I did just that and bought 18 of one elf mini (which I already have) and started painting them black. They look great and this is the path I will go for more drow in mass. I also am modifying the entire mini paint scheme as elves tend to always have the green and bright blue colors which don't work for my drow. This will be a fun project moving forward. I'll share some picture when done.
DM Post #194:
I want to thank you for your understanding with any delayed responses. I've been super busy with the campaign, and it's been tuff getting all done. This will not be the case for long as once it's done it's done and there will only be needed adaptations and modifications as the campaign moves forward. However, staring is a different animal. Certainly FUN, but it takes time.
If I fail to answer within a couple of days, please resend as I take no insult and it reminds me to get to it.
DM Post #193:
I appreciate the patience of everyone tonight as we prepared for the new campaign and characters. It took some time, but we finally did it! This campaign should be a blast and a change from your previous one. Yes, both Captain Bluebeard and the drow are inherently chaotic, but they are much different in the way they portray that alignment.
I want to be clear that my hopeful goal for this campaign is that you eventually become "good" crusaders of the Underdark. That would be such a unique and original story. The "Robin Hood" of the Underdark. However, if you veer in a different direction then so be it and we go where you choose. However, if you were to be evil then more than likely you'd simply stay with your house and move up the ladder killing ones above you. Why abandon your house?
Now, I shouldn't say "abandon your house" as you may well come back after this mission and continue to work for them. However, if that's the case then how will each of you still be connected. I can think of an idea BUT IS IT ON ME TO THINK OF THAT RATIONALE?
Either way be prepared to take on this first mission only. All the other crap I bring up should bear no pressure on you at this point and I apologize if it did. As DM my goal is to look far ahead and prepare so I am speaking out loud for you to hear.
DM Post #192:
Of real fun was repainting both Sindrax and Quavol into drow minis. What fun when encountered unless they want to use them as their current PC's? Bothg look quite cool and different. Not sure you'd recognize them as the former characters. I'll post pics at some point but tight now they are in process.
OK, you pressured me.....
DM Post #192:
For the past 3 days I've been putting away all the minis from the Dwakkah Mission. I am STILL NOT DONE and to be honest I highly doubt I'll finish tonight. Crazy and agonizing.
More important is that I still have to pull minis for the upcoming mission with the new characters. Everything is done other than pulling the minis, but I'd say that's important.
DM Post #191:
Interesting point. There are not too many drow minis made in pre-painted plastic. Well, I should say not enough if we are planning a campaign in Menzoberranzan. So, my solution is getting more elf minis and repainting them black! BOOM, MORE DROW! The purchase is for standard drow. Not elite as I want minions in numbers. Elite Drow will have to be looked at shortly and I'm sure there will be a need to buy a bunch of cool looking Matron Mother Minis as only a couple have been released to date from D&D.
I just put in a $50 order on elf minis which shall soon be facing the dark coloration of being drow!
Maybe we can have fun and each of you buy 1 "Matron Mother Drow Mini". It simply has to be an elf looking female with regal attire. Sounds fun and what you say?
And for fun enjoy some repainted pics of Gorilla Minis that were part of the Usa/Gorilla mission. For now, they will move to storage! Silver backs with red eyes!
DM Post #190:
I'm almost done with your first mission! Intriguing and dangerous I'd say. Have more to do pulling creature stats and minis but I'm confident that can be done tomorrow. So, in short, I think this campaign is on its way!
Please keep in mind that in the early stages there is a high chance of fatality! A critical hit will almost always "DO YOU IN". A few good attacks or a spell doing maximum damage could be your end.
So how do you survive?
1st: Let the others engage the enemy while you stand back (just kidding but had to add) 🤣
2nd: Don't rush into attack blindly. Be smart with how and where you attack regardless of your class.
3rd: Flank and get behind enemies for the extra +2/+4 bonus to attack.
4th: Don't get surrounded by enemies and choose smart battlefield positions.
5th: Stay away from melee if a spell caster.
6th: Stand back-to-back or grouped with allies when attacking melee to avoid spaces for enemies.
7th: Love and respect the Magister for his blessing.
8th: Love and respect Lord Garou for his respect.
9th: Do not cross the elves of Quel' Thalas and Queen Chandrilla.
10th: Do Not cross the Gemstone Guild (Tex and Silver Eye) and those lovable gnomes.
11th: Do not cross the Ascore Dwarves and the dead or dying Ivor Ironhand.
12th: Retire and work at a local inn - the end.
\
IF NOT - LETS GO as KRINTHIUS AWAITS NEW HEROES! ARE YOU THEM?
(THE SEA DOGS WEREN'T - Just Saying)
DM Post #190:
Can you believe every post on the boards is now worth 3 xp's! Damn good i'd say!
DM Post #190:
By the way I like the new boat better than the old one! Now, in truth I should or could add some shading to make the black a more blended color. Thoughts? It's a simple paint job right now. Very basic.
I will add details but give me your thoughts? I do like the green with the black!
I think we need another to make it a ghost ship - white with bluish shades! We need a force of different ships now that I've started. 🤣
How much were these? LOVE 'EM!
DM Post #189:
Tonight, after our first ever ZOOM GAME MEETING I really started working on the future campaign. It was funny when Dan said "oh, we are playing next week? I thought you'd need another week to prepare - or close to what he said". Initially, I was like - "NO WE ARE GOOD: and we still are but damn I am now recognizing how much I need to do to simply get the first adventure set up. Oh, it will be done and ready but I'm going to have to work overtime.
Getting your first mission ready was an awakening as I was very limited on any core creatures as I had to be careful with them being overpowered. Of course, they all have a CR (challenge ratings), but many of the creatures I use and have don't even have one (not a big deal at all as CR's are a joke to me anyways as an experienced DM).
With all that I am EXCITED! Thank you for being there tonight as it invigorated me for the campaign. I know it will take time getting used to it, your new PC's, the new area, the newness of the group, the new DC's, spells, skill DC's, abilities you have, and in general the limitations on both our ends.
I'm worried about the danger for all as death at this level may well be forever and a new roll up. Who's raising you at this level?
After all is said and done, I'm EXCITED and thank you for your concern about ME! Seriously 🤣! I am SO READY TO GO and QUITE EXCITED!
Who was going to kill Oliie?
All good things will come to those who exhibit patience. Trust only the metal attached to your belt. See you in the underdark!
DM Post #189:
This is going to take a lot of getting used too. How can I move forward without the Sea Dogs? I LOVED them. I loved the connection to the Wicked Wench, although I understand the group wanted to leave the control of Captain Bluebeard. However, that just led to more excitement and fun. The waters offered so much more, and I bought so many minis and spent so much money on aquatic terrain. We just bought another ship! I was ready for seafaring battles and assaults! What fun! Dwakkah had so many mysteries awaiting as well. I spent weeks writing it and, yes, I'm thankful you played much, but there was so much more.
I was very excited to see where I could take Quavol's relationship with the Aldani and Sea Creatures in general. I was preparing for so much with this.
I did not forget Kylor's history and family story. I know tricks were played with this but there was going to be some truth that came to fruition which involved a great deal of mystery.
Sindrax, was going to be anointed leader on the "SHIP" we just bought. Yes, it was supposed to be Quavol's boat, but in a negotiation Sindrax would have taken it over with Quavol being very happy.
Ollie would have been eliminated at a ripe and opportune time by a member of the Sea Dogs. I knew his long-term survival was short but that is still a mystery unless someone wants to offer details.
Viceak has some epic opportunity. Much talk about Hearthome and Ivor Ironhand's health and whether he is even alive. I heard a new leader is being looked for and he is a dwarf not within Heathhome but on Krinthius with Hearthome blood!
Taladel was to lead a crusade into the Abyss which would take down a demon lord (name known in the books) of the 6th plane completely putting the plane in a status of neutrality!
DM Post #188:
I may have posted this before, but I wasn't in the mood to scroll through God knows how many posts to check. Anyways, here are the names of all the missions I have ready to go if the group should continue. Well, almost ready.
-The Dwarven Stronghold
-The Black Lotus
-The Bunyip Worry
-The Golden Duck and Horse
-The Death Tunnel
-The Gorilla Capture
With the title some seem somewhat apparent as to what they may involve. Others, however, are not as clear. Even if a title gives an idea of the mission, it does not give the details and what it involves.
DM Post #187:
It's funny how I've been on "hold" with future adventures for the Sea Dogs. I mentioned this before but until I see the outcome with the Desicus and Beluri battle I'm on a somewhat hold with any future high-level missions. Keep in mind writing or preparing high level missions is quite time consuming. Certainly "fun" but not as much fun when not played out in game and simply shelved. This is why I'm on a somewhat "hold" with future missions.
Now, you've been offered the "Gorilla Capture Mission" but typically I like to offer multiple opportunities. Right now, this mission is the only paid adventure on your plate. Let's see where the "cards fall" after your travel to the abyss and your encounter with the self-titled Desicus the Demon Lord!
DM Post #186:
Ollie is a "real" character now as I just made his initiative and status card!
DM Post #185:
Here is a picture of the fun "mess" I work with week to week creating things for the game. The minis in the background are ones of various other games which I've rebased and are in the process of being painted. Nestled between the posts is a plant I'm basing for the game. This is one I got from my daughter. Looks great to add to scenery or maybe even a plant creature for the unsuspecting.
Oh, did I say the secret word for a 500 XP BONUS is "Beluri is a Bitch". She really is. How does Desicus put up with her? 🤣
DM Post #184:
My daughter moved out of her apartment and bought a house. Good for her but even better for me as she had tons of stuff she was getting rid of which she thought I'd like for my game....and I did. It was a bunch of plants and things like that. Below I show you a plant I worked and modified to use in game as a cool, possibly magical or sentient being. I'm going to add some more shading and paint but I kind of like it now.
You can see in the background some other plants and flowers that I'm working on as terrain for our game. And other things!
DM Post #183:
All minis for the Desicus Abyss mission have been put away. That does not mean NO MORE DESICUS, but it does mean for now any return to the Abyss is more than likely done unless the Sea Dogs decide to go back by their own decision. For the time being nothing is compelling your return.
DM Post #182:
I feel the Sea Dogs are headed down a dangerous path and I'm worried. I say this for you to prepare and have insight. The Sea Dogs have added a new member to their mix, but they have weakened.
A Great Evil Enemy would be foolish not to strike now!
Just a heads up and know I play "REAL" with enemies (but like to throw hints to help - which this is).
I think you know what I'm saying, and I am DEFINATELY WORRIED! We shall see!
Maybe the ones or one I speak of have other important things which take precedence, but if not, the Sea Dogs are his, her or their target!
Some enemies don't simply disappear because you retreated!
DM Post #181:
So, Pathfinder and Starfinder (their sci-fi game) will be fully compatible with rules and their universe moving forward. I LOVE this as if I ever wanted to dive into some sci-fi beyond Krinthus now I can much easier. Having Starfinder be the universe beyond our Pathfinder/Krinthius world is pretty cool.
If interested here is the article:
Pathfinder & Starfinder Will Crossover Into 1 Single Universe
DM Post #181:
Tonight, I completed the write-up, creature stats and pulling of minis for a future adventure. It was far from complete before tonight as to be honest I didn't think I needed it with you exploring the Ruins of Dwakkah. I figured this would take some time and I had a nice cushion of time. Even though you recovered the boat pieces for the captain I know there was discussion of returning and searching other areas for the vast treasures that lie within.
With the Desicus battle interjected I felt I had even longer.
However, after the situation and circumstances last week I felt I had to definitely get it ready, and it is! So now, regardless of whether you continue to explore the Ruins of Dwakkah (which I hope at some point), go after Desicus again (which I'd love) or choose to do something completely different I'm ready. Of course, I always have multiple small situations and things ready when necessary but now there is a major mission prepared besides the two you are still embroiled in.
DM Post #180:
I'm getting to a point in collecting minis and terrain where I have to start seriously wondering where to put it. My storage room shelves are completely full of minis and terrain. As you can see the 3 bookshelves, I bought in our game room are also packed. I saddens me to think of my limited space for the ongoing rapid pace of collecting. I'll have to figure something out but at some point, there will be NO MORE figuring out and there will be NO SPACE LEFT. It's not as much the "minis" and is more my enjoyment in buying, painting and creating stuff. Besides the actual game painting and creating things is my other huge hobby.
DM Post #179:
I just wanted to say that I LOVE playing Thursday. If ever down the line, you wanted to switch I am ALL FOR IT!
You may ask why? It's simple. It gives me Wednesday Night to prepare and review everything before the game. Sure, I can do that the weekend before but as the week goes on, I come up with so many ideas that can improve the situation for both parties. I think of opportunities, chances and much more, but playing Wednesday doesn't give me the opportunity to modify much as I'm working all week. Sometimes I do a rush job at 6:45pm right before the game, but having this extra night has been awesome.
I HAVE NO PROBLEM playing Wednesday and will for eternity, but Thursday works very nicely 😉.
EDIT: The extra detail added tonight is a benefit for the group. It DID NOT amplify Desicus or his beloved Beluri's power as that would simply be suicidal for the group! I gave you some "hidden chances" to help the Sea Dogs in this battle as I think you will need it!
This Desicus is an evil son-of-a-bitch! He has desecrated more temples and churches than you know placing them under the worship of his beloved demon lady Beluri! He has taken the lives of so many innocent individuals sacrificing them to his beloved Beluri to strengthen her. He has transformed himself into a partial demon through agonizing rituals to become closer to his beloved Beluri. His ultimate goal is to become a full demon lord and then him and Beluri will conquer and rule the Abyss!
Is that even possible? Well, Desicus and Beluri think it is and have plans to accomplish this. Of course, this is after your interference is dealt with your DEATH!
DM Post #178:
I think when you get to the Desicus and Beluri destination you'll be rather surprised and uncertain what to do! Offers will be made but will the group be interested or willing. Does the group want pleasure and fantasy (not the game type) or will you decline and if you do what happens then?
We shall see but you are heading to a rather interesting stop! Is Desicus and his beloved Beluri even there? So much fun, mystery, excitement and battle await! There are some first-time, never before seen situations that the group will have to deal with.
DESICUS & BELURI WILL BE THE SEA DOG'S MOST EPIC BATTLE - IF YOU EVER GET THAT FAR!
DM Post #177:
Tonight, I decided it was time to prepare terrain and pull minis for the final showdown with Desicus and his beloved Beluri! I hadn't set up any terrain because I wasn't sure you'd continue the journey or if you'd survive. However, you have and now some exciting terrain set-ups are prepared for your Desicus and Beluri the Temptress encounter and BATTLE! I am looking forward to it and curious to see who prevails!
And for you paying attention to my ramblings here is a reward! A couple of pictures of the terrain set-up when dealing with Desicus and Beluri the Temptress. Can you make out any details?
If you shoot me an email or text with the words "COOL SET-UP" you will gain 1,000 xps.
DM Post #176:
At some point in our game, I'm going to place down a Shrek mini to battle. The question is will you recognize him. I've been ripping apart this mini for quite a while making him look completely different than you'd expect. It's still a work in progress but I'll show you before & after pictures when you encounter him!
You make ask "why would I buy a shrek mini" and that would be a fair question. The reason was it was very cheap for a HUGE MINI and I wanted to be creative and see what I could do with him. He is an ogre after all or was before my desecration of the poor green fellow.
It would be hysterical if Shrek kills, the group instead of Desicus! 🤣
DM Post #175:
Just an FYI -
I HAVE NO MISSION READY AFTER DESICUS!
I Really Don't.
HMMMMMM?
What does that say?!
"I am all, I am everything and I am the Abyss. Feed me more mortal souls and strengthen me even more."
DM Post #174:
The entire Desicus mission has now been printed. I read it over, modified some things due to time lapse and double checked a few last-minute things. It is not an exceptionally long paged written mission but is lengthy regardless. What I mean is that although there may not be 50+ pages written the encounters and situations you will engage in can be lengthy. Some may be tough battles, interesting and devious dealings and much more!
How this ends is yet to be determined, but Desicus is waiting, and he will NOT let his goals be hindered by a bunch of sea faring individuals. You are sailors, not true adventurers or heroes. Desicus laughs at you and your far-reaching attempt to destroy him and his conversion of all the good churches of Krinthius and far beyond. He will reach his epic status he desires and right now ONLY YOU stand in his way if you pursue this. He is an ugly looking individual.
DM Post #172:
I felt I had to post the pics of the hundreds of minis I have gotten. There must be about 500+ and ALL will be rebased. I would never present minis with their dial base at our table. Sure, it would cost MUCH less but I need our black bases on the table, I ordered the bases and am waiting for their delivery tomorrow, I ordered 500 which I hope will be sufficient!
Additionally, tomorrow I will exchange Christmas gifts with my immediate family and see what huge minis were bought from my Wishlist. I'll be heading to my daughter's house and doing a belated gift exchange as she worked Christmas. I am excited to see what I get and of course seeing her 🤣
DM Post #171:
First, Merry Christmas as my "Eve Party" is now over and before I went to bed, I had to post something! Just want to say this Christmas Eve was the best I've had in many years as my mom, sister, and Godsons were all here! It was pretty awesome, and they're all still here until the New Year!
But when all left or went to bed I came down to work on minis and game stuff, but I'm now heading to bed as I have to be ready for Christmas Day in about 4 hours! I'll be ready as I never drink at family parties (0 drinks), but when I came down to work on the game, I had a couple but that's nothing.
Send a "Merry Christmas Desicus" text or email and get 2,000 xp's for the holidays! We must be kind to all, even our enemies during the holidays! 🤣
DM Post #170:
After the game I caved into the great mini offer which I mentioned tonight. I bought 530 Mage Knight figures for $149. The deal with tax and shipping was not as great as I hoped but it is still good enough. The mini cost was only $115 but tax and shipping was the killer.
I also bought 300 bases for the minis when rebased for $47.99.
I spent a bit more than I wanted but I'm still good with the deal to place them down on the table when needed.
DM Post #169:
I've been somewhat hesitant to work on future missions for the Sea Dogs. The reason is simple, and it has to do with Desicus. Developing, reading and preparing high level adventures is very time consuming. After Dwakkah I'm confident the group is going after Desicus (which is all prepared), but after this I'm not sure the Sea Dogs will still be around.
I have a feeling that Desicus will come out on top, and the Sea Dogs will fall. If that's the case, then any preparation for future high-level missions would be a waste.
Of course, I don't want to underestimate Dwakkah as there are very serious dangers, but I believe some would ensure their survival by a prompt departure if necessary so Desicus (depending on who survives possibly) will be on the list of things needed to be done!
DM Post #168:
I just wanted to say I think the leadership of the Sea Dogs (Kylor and Sindrax) have done an excellent job. I feel leadership, I feel direction and I feel group unity which comes from strong leadership.
It's never easy leading a group of powerful, adventurous individuals with many different desires, but the current leadership has done an exceptional job with that!
Just wanted to bring these thoughts out to compliment the current leaders. Of course, this is as of now and things can change in an instant.
DM Post #167:
Tonight, I continued to work on the Desicus Mission. It's planned and pretty much ready, but I keep fleshing it out with more detail and ideas. I still need to stat out a few distinct creatures and gather all the minis besides Desicus and 1 other Significant Mini which is the MAIN DEADLY MYSTERY MINI!
I still need to print it, but I anticipate this being done tomorrow. This one surprisingly comes in at only 33 pages but I guess Desicuss doesn't need long to kill ya!
It's just a flyer. You can ignore if you'd like, but it is something that has been posted for inquiry. If it seems appealing jump on the opportunity. If not move on to something else. Always your choice.
DM Post #166:
The 5 White Gorillas and Crowns are renowned for their white fur and each having a different color "crown"! Many hunters have tried to capture them, but all failed. Strangely it's said some have caught one, two or even three but when they were unable to catch the others the ones they had magically disappeared from capture! These medium sized gorillas are said to be passive, but impossible to capture.
Currently there is a bounty of 7,500 gp's for each individually colored headed gorilla, but if all 5 are captured the paid price is 500,000 gp's! Why such a great increase in price for all 5 is unknown but it has raised interest. The bounty is being offered by a gnome named Tex!
Since the bounty (August 3, 715 - Current Date September 9, 715) 17 deaths have been recorded of ones trying to capture the 5-White Gorillas. Very strange?!
These Gorilla reside with 100% certainty on Omegon Island which is the huge "C Shaped" Island between Haven and Gatchorof.
You've seen the flyer posted in Montravail.
DM Post #165:
I buy hundreds of minis from D&D and Pathfinder. However, to be honest I enjoy minis from other sources much more than the aforementioned companies right now. Third party miniatures such as Heroclix, Horrorclix, Mage Knight, Ebay and Etsy are fabulous. When bought I simply rebase them (with bases I buy to match our D&D/Pathfinder bases from China - Just put in an order for 200 bases from China tonight).
These companies offer all sorts or various monsters and various humanoid creatures that Pathfinder/D&D don't have statistics for so I get to use my creativity and look at the miniature and decide what they can do. I love that. Here is a couple of picks of my desk with miniatures rebased or not. Just shows the stack of minis I seem to always have working into our game. You can see some already rebased while many others await the transition.
Take some time to really look at the minis in the picture to see if you can see what I do - the possibility to be a creature/NPC in our game world. 50% of these I repaint as well.
DM Post #164:
Tonight, I sent emails to all players. These emails may outline family history, character flaws or abilities, situational penalties or gains of some sort. In truth it may be something completely different.
However, I think all of you should receive a short fun read.
Enjoy I hope,
John
DM Post #163:
One of our gaming groups best decisions was on the sea faring galley we decided to buy. We bought the MUCH less expensive galley which Pete's son put together and I then painted. The D&D one was about 5x higher in price and in reality, the need is very limited. The initial thought was that the vessel would be a critical component to adventuring on the waters. I'd say it is but the vessel itself is only a minor impact on most things.
Don't get me wrong, it is great we have the ship when necessary but spending the much greater money on the D&D vessel was not worth it, At least I don't think.
DM Post #162:
I start this post by saying I have 2 things going on with individual players with regards to their history and write-ups behind the scenes. They know who they are, but the reality is nothing may come from this. I like to offer things to keep players guessing and wanting more. There usually is more but sometimes it just doesn't play out! I always move to other players after this is done.
With that being said I also see great fun ahead with these ruins. So much to tackle, but rewards are there as you have recently seen. The items you recently got are top-tier items and many of the remaining ones may not be up to that standard. However, there are many that equal if not exceed what you've already found without question.
Let's not forget why you are in Dwakkah and that is to find the pieces of the boat for Captain Bluebeard to create his "ghost ship".
The secret phrase this week to gain 2,000 xp's is "4 Players are awesome!"
DM Post #161:
This one-handed mini (who is an enemy NPC) continues his glory! Krinthius lives you know as u adventure.
An interesting point is that the first DM Post on this site was April 2022. So, about 2.5 years ago. We've been on this site for quite some time now! Time flies doesn't it!
DM Post #160:
John must love his druid Quavol as I just made a purchase for his squid mini form which he wanted. Cost was $27.45 which is NOT CHEAP for 1 mini. It is huge though. I think he's hoping that with this purchase I'm forced to keep Quavol alive for the foreseeable future. He said it looks like he'll be playing a druid for quite some time now. 😂
I am not sharing a pic as that will be a surprise when it hits the battlefield.
DM Post #159:
I'm a proactive individual and when I see a need I react! On occasion these hurried decisions move to an action to fast, but they are almost always for an end that is needed. The need may not be immediate, but I look ahead and make decisions for the future. That's good planning if you're confident in what the end goal is. I always make decsions that work for the future of the game regardless of the immediate impact.
Breathe and take that wisdom into consideration. If you do life will be good and you will understand why the Magister has been supreme for so long! He sees ahead and does not live in the current.
DM Post #158
For your delight I spent some time tonight creating a bunch of original magic items that will be dispersed throughout Dwakkah. There's already a bunch scattered about, but I wanted to spice it up even more adding very interesting items that have never been seen or heard of before both as players and characters.
For your prying eyes I attached a photo with some obscurity due to minis and the placement of the magic item cards. Maybe you can get an idea of what a few are by the picture. Enjoy!
Oh, I'm working on 1 additional magic item card which will be an artifact of some sorts (minor or major). My mind is thinking of what that will be right now!
DM Post #157
I have the battle situation with Desicus all prepared. I'm not 100% sure this will be where you battle him, if ever, but I have a strong feeling it may. My reasoning has to do with Desicus and his planning as well as his new "ally".
His ongoing assault with summoned and controlled demons will I believe lead you to battle him wherever he may be. Maybe I'm wrong but Desicus festers and grows strong with his endearing LOVE who has been leading him from the start! He has joined her on her home plane of existence to grow even stronger.
I wanted to post a pic of this week's battle in the underwater ruins of Dwakkah against many Xulgath. I think it's pretty cool with the circle terrain representing the conch shells.

A bit off topic of GAMING, BUT MY COMPUTER IS THE HUB OF MY GAMING STUFF.
First, I'll say that since my computer has been upgraded, I am shocked at its speed. Less than a second from page to page. Just blink and I'm there. I also recovered everything, so I am 100% good. Took a combined effort from Bonnie, Justin and I but in the end, EVERYTHING was recovered.
Funny (but annoying) is the computer guy I paid $300 to install a new hardrive said he couldn't retrieve my data. REALLY! We just did and we're NO computer experts! Geez! Be careful with these "experts" as they want to get you up and running and that's it. They know that getting your computer repaired will make you happy, so the added details and recovery are not worth their effort.
Sorry for the rant but I feel for $300 this guy should have been able to recover my data as I did eventually. I told him my #1 priority is my data and I could care less about the computer as I'll buy a new one, but he repaired the computer with NO data recovery (to be fair he did get recovery of files 1.5 years ago - but nothing more recent). I got them ALL! However, he did upgrade my computer to being lightning quick!
Just sharing as my computer is our game.

OH BOY!
The mini that may accompany Desicus if there should ever be battle has shipped! Nothing intimidating! The mini needed to match a very specific description and with this I found it! Not every danger needs to be a huge monstrous construct ya' know 😂.
Here's an obscured view of the yet painted mini. She looks very nice and peaceful doesn't she. Is she sleeping or in some psionic trance ready to devastate!

The Expo - White Board Spray Cleaner is done. I post this because after washing it in soap & water (many times) spraying it with WD40, it still didn't slide up and down! I have tried but NO success. Sadly, I will use our gaming funds to get another tomorrow. The bottle is almost completely full, so I hate spending money on this. I'll see what I can think of tomorrow before getting another.

This post is to simply thank you for your unbridled enthusiasm for the game and offering your contribution to help me buy what we need. As you saw, I still have cash left over from the last time we contributed as I ONLY use this money when there are game needs. It was low so I thought to ask to have the needed cash when the next need arises. I hope you understand the request every once in a while.
Thank you with much appreciation to helping buy some basic needs! The paper contribution from Sean was great and I am still good with you grabbing what you can to add to our everyday game need from work when needed (manila folders, paper, staples, dry erase markers, pencils, laminating folders - various size, etc.).

I'm in the process of painting a bunch of minis which are probably not needed for this campaign but will be at some point in your long and industrious journey. They are not done and have a way to go but I'm curious if you can guess what creature they are? I'll award 2,000 xp's to any who guess correctly. Might be better to send your guesses via email or text as others can jump on your guesses. Simply post here if you send me a guess through email or text. Eyes, shading, highlights will be done but they have been a process so far. For example, the solid black capes will be shaded an undetermined color as of yet. Then they will be dry-brushed and done. These steps are the most important in making a paint look good or hopefully great.
I'll post a pic when done of the............
HINT: They actually have a city on the surface of Krinthius and they will be a darker shade of green when done.

Some news with regards to Hasbro and their revenue. Always interesting to see where the company is.
I thought I had to pull a lot of minis for the last adventure! That was NOTHING as I have clearly broken that mini pull with this upcoming adventure. Below is a picture of about 75% of the minis pulled. None of the huge or gargantuan have been pulled yet so these are all small, medium or large.
This mission will be quite the challenge with all skills being necessary. It is not 1 simple mission dealing with a specific type of creature or enemy. You may be facing off with or allying with many different races, creatures and abominations of the deep. The question is why, for who and what purpose?
This adventure is sort of like the old, boxed sets that TSR put out. It has all sorts of maps, will introduce new unknown monsters and have a fair share of extraordinary treasures and valuables.
I've always wanted a mini for Lolth. I've considered buying many but never pulled the plug. WotC recently released a mini of her and I was quite enthused. Regardless of price I said I need her. She is currently going for $40 to $116, and I'd bet her price will increase.
The unfortunate part is when I received her, I was NOT that impressed. I wanted a darker color for the Queen of the Drow and may consider touching her up with paints. However, I hate doing that to an expensive mini like her.
Here are some in hand pictures. What good is talking when pictures are needed.
You tell me what you think of her. I think she has a good face just lacking in color overall. She is gargantuan in size.
My First Step is a BLACK BASE! I am old school with bases and like them black. I don't repaint all my clear mini bases black but for huge they must be black.
Next, LOLTH IS BLACK, not gray!
Next, I needed her legs to be attached to the edge of the base, not simply floating in neverland. If you look at the images above, you can see how her legs were. Splayed all beneath her. Now they are attached to the edge of the base more significantly showing her spread of space!
To be continued..........................
Which of these 2 personally painted and created minis do you like better? Both are creations where I took minis, chopped, cut and modified them as their original concept and look was not what I liked. I added weapons, bases, additional minis and other things for fun.
Ogre Brute with Goblin Master
Blood Stone Cobra Idol

I'm very close to finishing off the next mega-mission which is beneath the Deacon Ocean! It is at 44 pages and the monster page list is at 144!
You are engaged in a lengthy mission right now, but afterwards I think you will soon be engaged in some deep-sea exploration. This will be no simple exploration but one which involves something magnificent, expansive, dangerous and mysterious. You have much on your plate so this may take a bit (and I haven't even finished writing it) but when you do it will be what you have hopefully built your characters for (the Deacon Ocean - above and below). If you like what is listed below you will enjoy this mission!
Ruins and their exploration
Battle with creatures that are not wandering encounters but established forces with power backing them.
Finding different and mysterious treasure
Making sense of the history where you're adventuring to gain insight, understanding and knowledge and useful stuff moving forward.
Fighting unique monsters
Possibility of taking on immense battle challenges or trying to flee and avoid them.
Unique, one of a kind, monsters that are the talk of legend!
Learning game history with regards to a major underwater fallen city (how, why and by whom), and possibly even its resurrection!

So, a 45-page adventure has grown to 65 pages! Awesome for adventure and fun! It's done and being printed. So, how many pages do you think it takes to print a 65-page mission? Well, it is printing now and takes way more than 65 pages. A pic of the final printed mission is below. It takes well over 125 pages and a damn lot of black ink. You may ask why?
Well, the biggest thing besides printing the mission itself is the creature stat blocks. If there are 50 different creatures that's a minimum of 50 pages worth of creatures with powerful ones and spell casters taking much more than 1 page.
So, in the end this mission has taken 123 pages to print. It is done and ready with minis pulled. The question is when you'll get involved in it? Well. I have other things printed out as well and you know something big like this will definitely be played but how and when is unknown. We shall see.
That be some hefty writing by the DM, but that's what I do especially when I'm off from work. Now, simply looking at that printed pile of a mission at least give me some understanding when I'm asking for a measly $10 every once in a while, for the game cost. Trust me I'm not trying to steal your money except for Sean. I want to take all he's got. That guy is rich! 😁
Post #142
I have completed a nice 45-page mission. Been working on it for a few weeks. This is what I referred to as being sort of a competition but it's much more and quite different. In this adventure ALL ability scores and skills matter, spell casting (arcane and divine) will tremendously help, strength in melee and ranged combat is a definite requirement and finally most important is listening and seeing what happens to other players. You will recognize this quickly and want to record events of others. This makes things even greater as all will be quite interested to see what other players do paying close attention.
This will be a blast and one to remember I promise (and another that should be published)! 😉
Here is a very tiny sample of core possible enemies:
Medusa
Minotaur
Azer
And here is a very tiny sample of 3rd party possible enemies:
Zombie Hound
Tower of Faces
Asylum Spirit
Shoot me the word CORE for a 750 xp bonus for reading my ramblings.

I think some of you may find this interesting if not all. For their 50th Anniversary Wizkids is releasing a mini set based on the original cartoon and characters. They're also revealing "barbie doll-like toys" of them with articulation but that's not my thing although I do think they are pretty cool especially the Dungeon Master (now where did I put my Dungeon Master mini that you gave me)! Here is what's been revealed so far.
Meese pappy used to say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Meese say beholder is as pleasant as the eye of Medusa. Beholder speak little but when it does, have iron ready.
Post#140:
There are some monsters I love dearly. Even if I have an abundance of them, I still buy more when new ones are released! One of these is the Beholder. In reality you don't need many beholders, but I have at least 25 and tonight I just received another 3. These three are probably some of the best beholders to date so regardless of whether they will be needed I'm OK. Here they are! Very happy with this purchase.
The question is how can I make an adventure where numerous beholders are involved? Wait..............., that would be definite death at your level. I'll hold off on my thinking for a while!
Intersting thought. Yes it would only be natural to think you can appeal to a more global audience. i would think Pathfinder and certainly WoTC sell to a global market...unless it is primarily US and UK perhaps....
I received a bunch of Mage Knight and Heroclix minis tonight which I bought on the cheap to modify and repaint. My goal tonight was to repaint a good majority of these minis with darker skin. There are way too few dark skinned minis and in truth I feel Pathfinder (to a lesser extent) and WotC are not reaching out to other races by making heroes and major characters that others can identify with. Anyway, I repainted about 25 minis all with a darker skin complexion tonight and I like it!

I must say thank you to all that come to our game each week. I appreciate you being here and adding to the game! You ARE the game and without you there is none. Thank you for your commitment, your fun, your thoughts, you ideas and your friendship! All are so much appreciated!
I hope to continue this non-stop for another 30+ years. The game has been ongoing for about 40 years now believe it or not!
BELIEVE IT!

For those that love our game I'm happy to announce that the mission voted as most desired is inches away from ready. You might not even recall what you desired but I do and have been working on a conglomeration of desires with one top desire in mind which matched mine. This adventure will certainly be fun and something which I think you'll all enjoy! It was aksed for by some! I hear bones a creakin' or is that the slow moan of the ancient?
By the way 3 of 5 players got the bonus xp's this week! Good for you! Rewards will be gifted to those participating in our weekly game on the boards. I thank you!
And here is a pick of what I'm working on....
I hope we can game on together for as long as we can! We have a great group of friends that meet every week. That in of itself is fantastic but we also have great fun! I hope I never have to recruit another player to our game as us 6 are perfect. I'd rather not introduce a new player to the table if at all possible as it would be hard to replace any of you with your play style, personality and most important the friendship! Each must commmit to play till they die 💀
Post #136
For those paying attention to my ramblings I'm going to start a little xp bonus game on the boards. This is not a "true game" but one that you can gain a 1,000 xp bonus each week for emailing or texting me the secret word of the week which will be posted somewhere on the site. The word will be amongst posts for that week but will be bolded, italicized and one size category larger than the rest of the text. That is all, will simply be bolded, italicized and one size category larger. If you'd like you can tell a friend about this so none miss it but I'm starting it tonight! I'm going to start a post for this as well to keep track of who gained the xp's each week. Will be fun to see and maybe the winner gains some bonus xp's as well. Wait this is sounding more like a game than I wanted 😊. For a simple start the secret word this week is Clouds! Thanks for paying attention and making the game great! Send me something B4 the Game and gain the 1,000 xp's. NO BONUS offering the secret word AT the game. How long I'll do this I'm not sure but it will be determined by posts and paying attention to the boards.

Talk about inconsistency with the sizes of minis! I recently bought a tiger mini as I saw a potential need for it. When it arrived I was stunned by its size! It is a large based mini but the tiger is the size of a small mini. It is absolutely ridiculous. The mini itself is actually excellent with a fantastic paint job but the size simply makes you laugh. I have a picture of it alongside a large based lion mini (which I repainted but is here for a size comparison). Both are Wizkids minis (WotC). I'm wondering if I should try and rebase the tiger on a medium base or leave it on this large base? Thoughts? The pose makes that a bit challenging but I'm sure with some work it could be done if you think that is a better option.

Tonight I just about finished working on a mission that one player wanted and asked for. I do hope this group survives this ordeal with the Cloud Giants as I have so much ahead for you and am especially excited for this mission that one PC asked for as something they'd like.
Beat these oversized humans trying to intimidate and scare you because their bigger!
So, my cloud giant battle prediction is there will either be a TPK or the group will flee as a whole and reconsider. I don't believe you will beat them or there will be any lone survivors escaping to lead the next group if things go bad.
You may wonder why I say that.......well first I think they are going to wipe the slate clean with you. Yes, TPK. Next, the cloud giants will not allow any assaulting their castle to leave once they've entered. They do not want the secrets of their lair or castle shared with others that might potentially come to assault them! They will follow to kill or maybe do somehting else!
Wait, I know your thoughts are that teleport or another magical transportation spell can save the day! All I'll say to that point is - Hee, Hee, Hee!
Let's get ready for some heavy battles! Now, I do hope you're successful in your initial battles so that I can then show what true, and I mean true, strength is with their LEADER!
Wait, the leader is a major danger, but I foolishly forgot about the other major cloud leaders, or did I 😉!
vampires & lich & zombies & wights..oh my!
Read 131 before this.
Anyways I'e been writing and working on the mission you as players have requested (your suggestions and ideas previously asked). It is DONE. It's pretty scary but love it and the requests you made. Greatly appreciate the suggestions and ideas coming from my players! However, I think they combined to make one hell of a scary and dangerous mission!
Tonight I'm painting a bunch of wooden bases I bought to base minis. I buy wooden bases and paint them black as they are cheap. If I wanted to get plastic bases, as I previously did, they are about 5x more money. So for a batch of 50 wooden bases it cost about $20 but for the same 50 bases in plastic it would run about $100. I've been using wooden bases for quite some time now and they are just as good as the plastic ones. They are drying in the pic so they still look a mess. I do two coats on each side so still have one more on this side and then two on the other. Takes a bit but is very simple and very cost effective for something that's not that critical or ever noticed or looked at in the game.

I'd gather YOU all know the "Squid Game" miniseries and if not look it up as it's truly epic and a pretty famous series! Obviously, some game relevance or why bother posting it!! I can see some getting nervous knowing the Squid game Series!
Now, if you decide not to view it that's fine but you will be placed as a character in a possibly more dangerous situation than those that have read or watched. ONLY VERY SLIGHTLY I'd say!
In the end the Squid game has only 1 survivor unlike our Squid game which has 10! What, ten survivors! Yes, that is what I said but details as to this shall be revealed if you ever get involved in the or a group of 5 this may allow all to survive. Survive? Well that is only on to the next test of the Krake games!
I did a final read through of the Cloud Giant Castle write-up and made a few adjustments. It's now done.
The mission along with the maps are now printing. 27 pages worth of goodies! I sure hope you make it here but if not, I will save this for another time or group. I think this can be quite an enjoyable mission but very dangerous. The reason I say it "can be" is because how dangerous it is. Of course, giants are a threat with their massive amounts of damage but what other obstacles or even enemies may be waiting in the castle. This adventure has a couple of gorgeous minis to be shared on the table in combat. One has been shown and is the Cloud Giant leader but the other is yet to be known or seen. It will not until you reach the cloud giant castle.
I still need to pull minis which I HATE, but not as much as putting them away!
Please remember that I post secret words on the boards in plain sight. You send me the secret word via text, email or at the game and will be rewarded with the bonus xp's the word affords. Two players always get the bonus xp's, two get it often and 1 has only gotten it once I think. Free xp's for simply looking and reading the boards which should be fun in of itself. I love reading your posts 😁.
Tonight, I finished the cloud giant castle write-up. I knew I had time as you're still on the stairs and the chances of getting to their lair was exceptionally slim if not impossible at this moment.
But now it's done and damn it's one scary place! Not scary like Strahd's Castle but scary because of the giant's strength, power and simple fighting ability! They can kick ass but, in more ways, than you'd think.
I really look forward to this possible encounter and the potential battles if they happen. I still have work to do which includes pulling minis, printing the map and printing the mission, but most is now done.
I also have to see if I want any terrain for this but it would be huge and that's like doll house furniture so that might not be possible unless anyone has any barbie doll furniture sitting around 😜.
Oh, the Bonus Word for this week to gain 2,000 xp's is Barbie Doll! You know how to get it.
McFarlane figs are so highly detailed. Love how you're altering action figs to minis. Look forward to seeing the finished product.
Second post of the night! I'm very happy with the outcome of something I've done for the game. First, I "ruined a $50 mini to modify it to serve our gaming needs. This mini is a McFarlane mini which are the most awesome minis ever made. They are all gargantuan in size and have more detail than any D&D mini or Pathfinder by so far there is really no comparison! They are phenomenal minis and do a search as they have all kinds of minis from Classic Movies, Baseball Players, Pop Culture, Horror Flicks and so much more. I jumped on collecting these about 7 ears ago and love each one. Best of all my minis.
In saying that I took one and modified it pretty significantly. Why? Well, I needed a Frost Giant leader. Now the giants have a leader who looks quite bad ass. I will not post the painted mini (that will be seen in the adventure) but will offer a pic of the original mini that is now painted as a gargantuan female frost giant!
Is this mini not BAD ASS! I hope it gives you a sense of how great McFarlane minis are.
Tonight, was a fun night for you and me (well maybe not you). I finished the Cloud Giant scenario. It was a lot of work but worth it. I still need to pull minis for it but I'll wait until you seem to be close to taking this challenge on. You have the Endless Stairs to handle so anything can happen and maybe the second part of your mission in dealing with the cloud giants and the sword might not happen. I really hope it does but dice rolls, random stairs and possibly deadly battles and situations can divert the direction in an instant. This is what I love and live for in our game. You never know where and what will happen or change week to week. I don't even know and I'm the DM!
Just thought you'd like to know that each post is now worth....wait let me check........, 1,500 xp's. Who's gaining these xp's and for ones that aren't try.
I consider the boards as important to the game as the actual game in many ways thus the xp's! Thanks to my frequent posters and hope you feel the reward! It's deserved!
Another post for the night. Wanted to share a crazy mini I made from scraps of other minis I had no need for. Can anybody tell what the scraps of mini pieces are for 5,000 xp's with an exact answer? Anything close will be rewarded with 2,000 xp's as well. Shoot a text or email with your guess.
And better yet the secret password for a bonus 1,000 xp's is:
"Is Acerak a Lich or Demi-Lich?"
I've been working very hard on upcoming missions and adventures. I enjoyed the short-term mission with Taladel gaining his holy avenger in the evil temple. What's better than an evil temple in Pathfinder, well maybe a full-fledged evil church, organized, prepared and controlling forces of negative energy and undead! Sound worrisome? Yep, I'd say so but whose saying that's even on the horizon as your leader Kylor will find another mission that trumps it. 😂
All good, as the next mission is usually harder than the one turned down out of DM spite! Only kidding here......or am I! 😜
Post #122
With Father's Day and shortly after my birthday (as well as John D's) I'm hoping to get some of these premium minis. Some that are on my list are the following. Which one do you like best?
Zuggtmoy - Demon Queen of Fungi
This one is probably my favorite. Zuggtmoy is one of the coolest demon lords ever made. She is supremely powerful, an evil baddass who originates from the Forgotten Realms. She is the Lady of Rot and Decay! The mini is huge sized.
Yeenoghu, The Beast of Butchery
This mini is hard to get so I'm not sure if I'll be getting him but if you're not aware he is the demon lord of the gnolls. he is dedicated to dedicated and is the Ruler of Ruin seeking to collapse civilization and brutally butcher all that stands in his way. He is all about rabid slaughter and is savagery! He is gargantuan in size.
Baphomet, The Horned King
Everybody knows who this is and if you don't just look at the creature closely and you will know who worships him. This is the god of the minotaurs and has always been a favorite lord of mine going way back to my early days. I love minotaurs in general so how could I not love their god! He is huge in size.
Fun picks of things I'm working on.
Bought these cheap but figured I could make these into fairly cool encounter minis. They are coming along and I enjoy painting up crappy minisl
Post #120
This post is about MINI BASES! Mini bases - who cares? Well bases are critical to the game as they give space and show tactical situations! Without a base you would find it impossible to battle! Many minis made are too small or big for their base and their actual threat range cannot be easily identifiable. Yes, I'm sure none of you players think of this but as DM it is critical to the combat situation, and I like to ensure fairness and accuracy with these situations.
Pathfinder and WotC minis came with attached bases and are about 90% accurate to mini size and thus threat range. However, about a 10% of my minis are from various other sources (which I LOVE) and I have to figure out their threat range and size of their base. I always waiver on the 5-foot base vs. the 10-foot, while others verge on the 10-foot vs, 15-foot. I usually go with the larger base for minis giving them the benefit of size and reach but it's all speculative but FUN!!
Just some DM iinsight and give me the word INSIGHT for a 2,000 xp; bonus for reading my rambling.
Just got home but wanted to throw a comment on the boards before going to bed. Looking forward to next week to see what happens in Taladel's battle! I wish him success as I know if he loses there will be a somber feeling at the table for some time. Victory and there will be excitement and inspiration moving forward. We shall see.
I'm sad Pete will be missing a few games as I think he'd LOVE where I believe the group may be headed. Something classic maybe? I believe the group will really enjoy the path ahead but if you don't I WILL! 😁
Post #118
Boy, the work I put into our game 😁!
Always fun and enjoyable though I think I'm a bit nuts as DM to spend the time I do creating, incorporating, delving and thinking! Well, maybe not as I like to think, create and work cool storylines and this is my hobby. We all should have a hobby!
Tonight, I worked a very interesting and time-consuming adventure for the future. I've been working on others but sometimes things "strike me" and I have to work to create them for the group. You have so much adventure ahead of you. We simply don't have enough time each week to play them but in time they will be played. Everybody must play and live to 95 and then we may be able to play to the end which will be...........
Battling the Legion of Sword and Lord Garou, battling Magister Arbados and Gateway, battling Strahd Von Zorovich and Barovia, battling Queen Chandrilla and the elves of Quel' Thalas, battling Tex and Silver Eye and their Guild, and battling Ivor Ironhand and his Icehome Dwarves!
I know, many of these are NOT enemies or ones you'd want to attack but they are some of the epic empires and individuals in our world. Can you think of others?
What about the Druidic Circle and Nenioc or the Ranger Conclave and Bramas Thorntree?
I've been invited to attend a DM's collaboration to help build a gaming module. I'm not sure if I'll accept as it is 1x a week for 2-3 hours and I'm not sure I have the time. However, the cool thing is when done your name is attached to the completed paper. I feel honored to have been invited and in truth don't even know how I was. However, my time is limited to our game, and I never want to give away time from it. Gaming is fun for me but once it becomes a required commitment It may feel different. I declined.
I have three missions ready to play with minis pulled and stats printed. I have a personal favorite and hope you accept it but as you know the choice is yours. I can always use the other 2 later on if not offered but if presented in game and you decline or accept another then it goes away in a drawer with minis put away.
I also have 2 other adventures somewhat ready, but they need work. However, if needed I could get them going and prepare all the details after the game.
You have many choices ahead so pick what you find most enjoyable and of course seems best in whatever way you decide (payment, goal, enemy, terrain, location, etc.)
