I whole heartedly agree as players and as a group we did exceptionally well and should be proud of our victory here. It was a victory that did cost a number of resources that cannot be readily replaced. That cost is usually compensated by the treasure of the creature… Sadly, we have a situation where Captain Bluebeard get the treasure.
Kylor Speaks Sea Dogs We were victorious here within the Caves of the Hellwater Angel; however our success is truly based upon the quality of the treasure that we recover and return to Captain Bluebeard. We must remember that we agreed to do this mission in order to make up for the groups failure to bring payment for Boarderlands Keep mission (even though we gave him 10,000 gp of our own coin) Sea Dogs, we must keep in mind that Captain Bluebeard is not known for his graciousness or generosity. The group needs to ready themselves to not be disappointed by Captain Bluebeard when and if he provides a reward or compensation to the group.
I do feel that our success and our power level as a groups does afford us a good opportunity to renegotiate our arrangement with Captain BlueBeard. I personally like the idea of the Sea Dogs operating independently, of the Wicked Wench, but maintaining a good working relationship with the Wicked Wench and even taking on some task for the Captain.
However, I also feel that Captain Bluebeard and the Wicked Wench deserve our loyalty. That said, I am not ready to throw away our relationship at this moment. I would like to hear suggestions from each of you… I would like to hear your own thoughts and goals. For this will assure that as a group we are unified in what we want/need to accomplish in the long term. I want to keep our success moving forward. I personally have big dreams for myself and the group.
I must fulfill my service to the Captain at the very least. but then still would like a working relationship...either directly or indirectly. The Captain has been fair...and has in now way asked me to act in the slightest against my beloved Iomedae...
I know we do not have monetary rewards to the groups liking..but I do not require such. However I can see the group perhaps being dissatisfied
Sindrax speaks. So we killed the angel. But we still need to find this treasure. And then comes the big decision on what is the happen after we go back to the captain. I am not expecting much, from him. As some of you know, more then others. Captain may be extremely gracious and throw each crew mate 50gp when we dock. And that is considered extremely well for payment. Him giving crew mates a 1000gps, will probadly never happen. Just think about the consequences that the captain will have to deal with, if he gives us alot of money from this treasure. He may have huge problems to deal with, with the crew and possibly queeny red. If we are given and extreme amount of money. My expectations of this reward are very low. And hope the rest of you, share the same thoughts. Remeber captain needs to have order on the boat, at all times. And that order can be easily disrupted, if the crew/queeny are jealous of our reward. But we shall see. I do feel that visack has to do his god mission and I dont think he will take no for answer with that. So we shall see how that goes.
Yeah we did it. But as players, we did lose a bunch if resources. I know myself and visack dont have any more hero points and cards aswell. And I believe other players aswell used then also. But we did do well. Alot of good decisions where made. And some of them, where very tacticaful.
I believe if you battled on the boat against Captain Bluebeard, Queenie Red and the crew you would be disadvantaged. One reason are numbers and their opportunity to disrupt spell casters and grapple. Let's favorably assume Captain Bluebeard and Queenie Red are at least equal level to you. If that's the case, then eliminate 2 of your party members as a wash with the Captain and First Mate. That leaves 3 party members to deal with the entirety of the remaining crew. If there are 20 crew members that leaves 6-7 each for the remaining 3 characters. Grappling could easily be won by the crew against the group. How many hp's do you think each crew member on the Wicked Wench has? 5, 10, 15 or more? To be fair I know you're pretty powerful now so it would be a fun and interesting battle! Very fun!
WOW! Great job. She was a major NPC, and you were able to take her out quite readily. Great job. This is one of my DM disappointments as I wanted her to be a much more major enemy NPC but so is the game and she is now not. Once again, great job!
The real question for the boards is where are you going now? It seems back to the Wicked Wench under the rulership of Captain Bluebeard and First Mate Queenie Red.
What was that. Who said that.

Well played everyone. Let's find the treasure and then bring it back to the Captain as agreed.
And then let us see what he views as just compensation. I realize it will likely not meet the parties expectations...but how we go ahead?
-Do we just stay as is in our arrangement and just tell him we wish for a better cut of the action?
-Do we tell him wish to branch out and operate independently, but pay tribute?
-Do we make a complete break? This will likely cause conflict we might guess
But let us not forget we are a powerful group and have leverage here...
We have value to the captain, and we should no longer be peasants under his boot.
I wonder if we did battle on the boat, with the leadership and crew, how the group would do? Maybe we will find out?
