The group has accomplished a great success in destroying the entire 1st level of the Monastery of Souls!
Have you really?
As of now there is rubble, stone, and much more in the destruction of the grounds. The level below supposedly remains unharmed, and I'd gather Desicus has heard this destruction! What befalls the group next week with the wrath of Desicus in what you've done?
Are all the lives within the forested area lost? Have you killed innocent elven lives in this action? More than likely as the entire 1st level of the Monastery of Souls has collapsed and would more than likely mean the death of all within!
DESICUS LAUGHS AT YOUR ACTIONS!
My vote is for #1. He won't leave us alone. We have seen what happened in montraville. I will not be doing #3. I will do #2, way before, the 3rd option.
I definitely didn't think Viseck's spell was that powerful to do all that destruction. I do feel bad that the elves were affected by this. And hope they are all, ok.
Kylor Speaks: When it comes to Desicus there is question, because we do have options, I am leaning towards my number three option, for all the reasons I mentioned before plus I love the idea of redeeming an evil and using evil to do good. I do think the first option is ideal, but I already have my doubts on the success, given how quickly I was killed by him by a single spell. As for the elves, we don't know their outlook upon being brought back. I will say, as someone has recently died, it is rather extreme to be ripped from your afterlife. But now is not the time to deal with this. We have Desicus we must deal with now.

Taladel speaks:
We must defeat Desicus wihout question. All of this would have been for nothing if we walk away. That must be our priority..
Then i will do everyrthing winthin my resourses to save and raise as many of these elves as I, or we for whoever will join me...This is not some natural death or some act of nature. WE DID THiS!
And we must make it right to the best of our ability...
Kylor speaks: The death of the elves that lived here is truly a disheartening and sad thing. We must also remember that they are Gozreh worshippers and followers of nature; as such they may see death, even in such unfortunate situation as part of the natural cycle of life. We cannot just go around raising people to ease our feelings of guilt. Remember our actions was done in the hope of getting Desicus attention... to draw him out to fight us. I feel if we did get his attention, we have three options moving forward. 1) We fight him. The problem i have is that I dont want to see the SeaDogs taken out because we are distracted and not unified in our resolve. (people wants to save and raise the elves hurt; hearts not invested in the battle) We also have no real plan of attack, other then draw him out away from the golems and use our items to protect us briefly from Desicus
2) We walk away. Because the group feels that there is no profit in this fight or that Desicus is not beatable due to him outsmarting and overpowering the group. We leave this to be taken challenge to be taken on by other better and more powerful adventuring groups.
This last option is really outside of the box -
3) Use Desicus through negotiationĀ and bartering (similar way we are having a positive influence on Captain Bluebeard) --- I am proposing that we work with him for several reasons. a) we can learn more about Desicus and his plans (thus how to stop him) b) we can direct him assist us to take out evil indviduals or groups (ie hubba bubba) c) we can influence Desicus more perhaps slowly redeeming him.
( Taladel seemed to be reaching him somewhat )
d) this ensures the survival of the SeaDogs
Again this is just what I am seeing and proposing that we consider. Would love to hear what you all have to say.
Sean Speaks: I can only speak for my understanding; I believed the Monastery of souls was a huge building, since it took us a long time to walk around the entire building. I believed that just damaging the front part of the building would have contained the damage to the front of the building, where the pews and alter was. I think the others believed this as well. I also i believe that no one truly understood the power of viceaks spell.
DM Speaks Again:
I'm intrigued by what happened last game. I was surprised that nobody in the group recognized what toppling the Monastery with the magic would do to the wild elves living harmoniously in nature in the reserve. Many innocent lives were lost by this action. The wild elves did not have any involvement in your battle with Desicus and the Monastery was their home. Even if you did not kill all of them in this collapse you without question have destroyed their home which cannot be repaired and recreated in any short time. the trees they had within probably took 60-100 years to reach that size. The graves within were also important as you sacrificed their restful death with devastation. A
Let's not forget the Monastery was not evil the one controlling it was. It was dedicated to Gozreh a respected god and one which Quavol worships. Although it was not occupied currently it was without question still in excellent condition and able to be reopened once the threat of Desicus was removed.
Please give me your thoughts and rationale as to why you did this. At the time it might have seemed like a good move but as you see now it wasn't and it didn't even harm Desicus.
Crazy, but most enjoyable Game!
Taladel speaks:
What have we done? Many innocents have died by our actions...We must do what we can to help them and bring back any that we find..I pray to Iomedae for forgiveness..
DM Speaks:
I'm enjoying role playing Desicus as an enemy. That is usually NOT good for you. I see him as an eternal Bad Guy and one that can establish something big, great and evil on the world of Krinthius. I see his eternal domination with this church and many more establishing an army of ones loyal to him, the church and his beliefs. He just needs to defeat you and move forward. I'm feeling he will and whether that means the groups defeat entirely or a retreat in accepting he is greater than you shall be seen!!
Secret XP word for 250 xp's this week is Gozreh!
