I've been working on a pretty epic mission for quite some time. Every week I feel I'm done but then I look it over and feel changes need to be made or additional ideas added. This has been ongoing for months and it's fun but driving me crazy. I think you'll love this home brewed adventure as there is serious danger, mystery, excitement and battle for sure! But who knows when I'll ever feel satisfied with the end result and run it. My hope is to be satisfied tonight and then get stats, minis and maps printed. It's a pretty big mission with many adventurous battles along the way. Is there a BBEG at the end? I'd say not BIG, but Bad, Evil and a Guy!
This is a great mission for a massive terrain set-up! Would not be as well served with tact tile drawings for sure but this will take me some time for sure! I have so much ahead and in store.
Maybe you don't accept this mission and do something else. That's fine as this mission then goes into my repository along with many others that can be pulled with a different direction and hiring when necessary!
I did print some heavy colored prints of the areas for my reference with numbers and all, but I have to see if the same is good for you without the details I have on mine. It's a very colorful print that drains the cartridges for sure but they look great. It's all personal creations and in the end displaying it on the computer I think works just as good? It's much cheaper for sure!
UPDATE: If any can get plain white paper from work or elsewhere for free bring it to the game. I'm running low on game paper and instead of chipping in for this crap it woul;d be great if some could get it for nothing. Much rather chip in for fun stuff. We are good on markers, laminating pouches (big and small), pencils and chairs for now 😂.
If you've read all my rambling then you deserve an xp bonus of 500xp's, but only if you share with me one way or another the acronym BBEG!
DM Speaks:
Tonight everything is done for the Monastery of Souls. I've said this a few times but I always come back to making things better. Tonight was doing a little touch up on the terrain set-up. More important though is the entire Monastery is on the table.
I'll cover areas you shouldnt see and as you move through them I'll uncover that portion of the map. It's such a large and detailed set-up I reconsidered my initial plan which was to bring it out room by room. I realized last game bringing out one section took time and doing this for all would take much longer and affect the pace of the game.
No peeking and John you can't go in the basement before me just in case I don't have it covered 😉!
