What a night! I had a blast with tonight's game. Much different than our usual battles and the importance of victory is huge. The Wicked Wench is battling a massive galley larger than itself full of various undead plus some special crew and a major undead captain! This will be a long battle as proven tonight but even though its long I in no way feel it will be boring or drag. I felt every attack and move tonight was of critical importance and I believe will only increase with next week's game. Exciting!

DM Speaks:
Off tomorrow thus the late-night post after seeing the D&D movie earlier.
Tomorrow is a BIG GAME! NOT big because the Undead Captain of the Night Doom is ready to take you down, but BIG because I do see this as a serious battle and worry about casualties permanent or otherwise. Most players DO NOT like having their PC killed unless they are ready for a new one. Getting killed causes you to make up 2 levels in XP's. It can be done but a bit of patience is required. You have to have a connection and love for your PC to do this especially at the level you're getting. Tomorrow will be epic and let us see what befalls the group. I think the group feels better with Captain Bluebeard - Sea Wolf ready to engage!
Desert mission would be awesome although nagging pests like flies and locusts can be aggravating. I know a few of the I Modules took place in the desert however I don’t recall ever playing any back in the day. Who wouldn’t want to encounter Tombs, Mummies, mirages and potentially sunken cities!
DM Speaks:
If victory is attained and some members survive, I'm thinking that the next destination might be the Anuaroch Desert for Sindrax to meet up with that calling he received (if he lives of course). If he doesn't where is the group headed next? Looking for random work? Traveling to a desired destination on the map such as a city or land area that you'd be interested in exploring. I have 3 missions/situations ready to go. Each is completely different. Oh, didn't Captain Bluebeard mention allowing you to enjoy yourselves after this battle and attending a fair or something?
If he didn't then DAMN him as he should be kind and give you this fun opportunity to test your abilities sort of like a mini, mini, mini-Convention. Yep, mini!
DM Speaks:
I decided NOT to start a new post as we continue our battle with the Undead Ship; the Night Doom! To date I believe the group and the Wicked Wench are at an advantage. More of their undead have been eliminated than the Wicked Wench crew although there have been many on both sides. Additionally, they only have their Undead Captain while you have both Captain Bluebeard, Queenie Red and just about all of you plus a few crew mates!
Seem like you have the advantage....or do you? The battle continues next week with a secret or two yet to be revealed if possible!
Below are the dead so far!
Also, as a funny aside...whenever Dan asks to have one of my beers you know it's a BIG NIGHT as he is going beyond his typical beer protocol and things are heated!
Kylor Speaks:
Wicked Wench and Sea Dogs ... the battle will not be won through sheer force but through our courage, being vigilant, and fighting with ferocity. We must fight with the tactics that Captain Bluebeard and Queen Red taught us. This will allow us to anticipate our enemies' moves and carry the battle to them. Don't let these undead creatures bring the battle to us. We need to put them on the defensive We need to have the will and heart to know that we will be victorious because we have no other option available to us. We are unified in this battle together. Let us show all of Krinthius that the Wicked Wench defeated the Night Doom and made the waters of the Deacon Ocean safer.
I would love if Sindrax could be brought up, for the battle. I am not angry that I died. I know Veisack has the raise dead spell and I will lose XP and such, and be stuck at level 10, for a long time. But I so wanted to fight this battle. Espically now that the tigers are coming aboard. Maybe I could use a god call. I haven't been that great with being religous with Sindrax. But maybe I will give it a try. This battle is truly epic. I can picture all the close quarters fighting. No way, can someone use ranged in this heep of bodies. Looking forward to next weeks, outcome.
DM Speaks Again:
Oh, let us not forget about those big, bad DIRE TIGERS! These can shred you apart with big damage and there are 4 of them. Maybe, it's time to abandon ship or are the Sea Dogs going down with the Wicked Wench as the Night Doom sends you to the bottom of the ocean alive or dead!!
Here are some pics to remind you of the battle!
"This is what John meant when he said a battle we have never done before!"
You are 100% correct. Not only the sheer numbers but also the environment is what excites me. I also feel battling on the Deacon Ocean and the Wicked Wench raises the excitement even more! I'm glad this battle will continue into next week as it deserves it. As for Sindrax maybe Captain Bluebeard or Queenie Red have some magic in stow on the Wicked Wench that can bring him back to life. If they do, I'd be confident they'd offer it to him as they know he's essential to the victory over these swarming undead.
Maybe there's a scroll? And Viceak, don't you have raise dead? Such a needed spell right now.
Kylor Prays (A Silent Prayer to Desna) Oh, Desna the Goddess of Fortune, Lady Luck, The Great Dreamer...
I come before you as a worshiper and sailor who delights in the exploration of Krinthius and all the wonders hidden within it.
I have been blessed by your good fortune and I pay you homage and respect now. Our travels have put a great undead evil menace in our path the Night Doom. I pray that you bless me, the Wicked Wench, and all those who follow you and show you respect.
Your good fortune would bless us and ensure we continue to spread your influence across this great world.
One who worships you has fallen, I pray to have the good fortune to return him to us so that he can accomplish his dream and continue in the exploration of Krinthius and in your worship.
Kylor Speaks: Sea Dogs ... We must be prepared for whatever the Night Doom has to throw at the Wicked Wench and us. As we have seen they are swarming us with their sheer numbers. We have also seen a powerful and deadly attack from the Captain of the Night Doom. While Sindrax may have fallen, I believe he will find a way to battle on. I feel that we did have some success in defeating a good number of the undead crew from the Night Doom.
I have a feeling that the fight is only going to become tougher and more challenging. We all must bring our "A" game to the battlefield. Every attack can and will make a difference. Failure is not an option here, the Captain, Queen Red, Sindrax, and the Wicked Wench are counting on us. Let us show them what the Sea Dogs can do. Let us make the Captain Proud.
Hopefully Sindrax can be raised!
I love the big battle. And I have wanted a boat battle for the longest time. I just wish that Sindrax could have made it through the whole thing. I know there are still alot of enemies on the board. But I have alot of faith in the wicked wench. The wicked wench still has alot of crew members up, and doing damage. I feel there is a very good chance, we can win this. Continue on ,my friends. Dont let my death, be for nothing.
Taladel speaks:
The Sea Dogs, and the Wicked Wench, with Iomedae fully behind us in vanquishing vile undead, will be victorious!!
Mike speaks:
Wow big battle and every turn is super exciting!
This is what John meant when he said a battle we have never done before!
And here is a pic of the NIGHT DOOM! Looks pretty good as the end all for the Sea Dogs and the Wicked Wench! Sink to the bottom of the Deacon Ocean in pride as the Night Doom will be your end!
