Tonight, the group decided upon a leader, and it is:
Kylor Seahawk a Human Sorcerer!
Congratulations and allow the headaches and heartbreaks to be all yours!
The sub-leader elect is Sindrax Moonfall an Elf Rogue! How crazy is allowing the thievery to start big time with a rogue as subleader.
Now what's the group's name? How about the NUTS!
Next week we start on the Wicked Wench after a fun night of drinking and revelry! The group does have a mission and that is investigating underwater caves to find a treasure horde for Captain Bluebeard! And yes, the captain loves his treasure, and you shall bring it to him.
I heard the worry about under water adventure and LOVE IT! All cannot be easy. If you didn't know sometimes things can be dangerous and tuff for an adventuring group! Especially being mates on a seafaring vessel such as the Wicked Wench! Hee, hee!
The secret word in celebration of the OGL outcome is "Paizo Won" for 500 xp's (text it, say it, email it, or just let me know one way or another you've read my boring posts and make the DM happy for the bonus xp's):
PAIZO WON - this is GOOD for all and our game as well! Yes, not just Paizo but they were the biggest company opposing the WotC injunction! Great news for the game!
Agreement expire last day of March than me run quicker than when bearded lady chase ugly goblins with pot made of rocks.
As a player, I'm ready to move on. While it’s been lots of fun and uncommon, would be awesome to explore other areas of Krinthius. There are so many areas on the map that are completely foreign to me.
As a character, Sindrax likes being on the boat, and part of the captain's crew. If others leave, Sindrax might be the one, that will wave you all goodbye. Or just watch you all, as you walk the plank, for trying to leave.
As a player. I love the campaign setting. It's so different from anything we have done before. I also like that the settings allows a character, to be a little, on the bad side. As you all know. I prefer combat over RP, but not by much 60/40. And I am looking forward to the first big ship battle, against another crew. To me that type of scence is stuff we have seen in the movies, and man how cool would it be, to actually be in one, at the table. Truly epic that would be. Plus I am very curious to know, the true power of the wicked wench and its crew.
As a character, Taladel must serve his agreed upon service...then he will consider staying as long as it does not interfere with his duties as a Paladin..long term this might be tough as he is not an actual pirate.
As a player it is fun and would want to stay...but have to continue to carefully place skill ranks. Thanks to the group for the solutions helping each other...
DM Speaks Again:
I'm all riled up in a good way looking forward to the games ahead.
I know there was discussion about the group wanting to move off from the Wicked Wench and Captain Bluebeard and be independent. However, after this week I got the feeling that maybe the majority DO NOT want this. So where do you stand with this as characters and players? Be sure when posting to identify whether you're speaking as player or character.
DM Speaks:
Wanted to say I think Kylor did a nice job as leader on his first night! I'm happy there's finally a leader!
Now, let's see how he handles very serious issues and disagreement as they will arise. That will be the test of a true leader. Good luck Kylor as there is 1-4 that may be very difficult to lead! Wait? That could be all!
Oh, by the way, the secret word of the week for a bonus 500 xp's is Kylor Seahawk in respect to the new appointed leader. You know the routine on how to get these bonus xp's!
So far with the names. I like.
Sea dogs
Sea wolves
Trial by Sea
DM Speaks:
This made me chuckle,,,,"I want our group to be successful". I thought you wanted them to fail and die. 😋
Looking forward to your leadership Kylor and see where it takes the group.
Kylor Speaks: I want our group to be successful. The best way to ensure that is too find a way to get the group unified. In order to achieve that goal. First, We ALL must think of the answers to a few of these questions: why is each of us adventuring? what is each of your own personal goals? Are there any common goals? How can we achieve our goals as adventurers as well as our own personal goals? Is our goals aligned with that of Captain Bluebeard? If we all could take some time and think on these questions and come back with some direct honest answers. I believe we can be unified in our purpose. I have seen us unified in battle, and we were truly a force of nature. If we could harness that unity outside of combat we can truly achieve great things.
SO what about the names I proposed ??
DM Speaks Again:
With a leader being chosen amongst the group this does bring up some precarious situations. Captain Bluebeard is your leader as he sees. Are the words of Kylor now superior to what Captain Bluebeard demands? Are you now considering yourselves independent of the Wicked Wench? I'm curious and excited to see how this plays out moving forward! I guess a lot has to do with the answers to my questions above because they can have dramatic consequences.
DM Speaks:
Those are some good names there Sean.
-The Stray Sea Dogs (or just The Stray Dogs) - or just Sea Dogs 😀
I like Wave Riders, Stormbringers and Sea Dogs.
Kylor Speaks-
I am truly humbled that the group has faith in my ability to lead the group successfully in achieving its goals. For our group, I would like for us to be unified and trust, that despite our differences we are ALL working towards the same objective. Right Now, our task is to triumphantly investigate the underwater caves to find the treasure horde that our great Captain Bluebeard has charged us with. As far as a name for the group this is something that I have put some thought into and I have a few options: The Stray Sea Dogs (or just The Stray Dogs) The Land Sharks The Odd Jobs
The Wave Riders
The StormBringers The Keel Haulers
Thank you for electing me, as Sub leader. Do not worry, when Kylor dies. I will lead you, to victory. So, what could our name be. How about the Abba HL' group.
Those are 2 great pics.
DM Speaks:
On another, probably more important note is Captain Bluebeard wants you to do some of his bidding even though some may want to move off from him. He wants you to move into an underwater cavern and deal with what's beneath these waters. The reason's simple! Great treasure is said to be beneath these waters.
Captain Bluebeard is always searching for great treasures, and he's not been wrong yet.
Are you ready and willing to take on this task for the great Captain Bluebeard and First Mate Queenie Red?
