So, in continuing to explore the Borderlands an agreement was offered by the Allis Habba Al' group. They said they would offer the group 45% of the total payment if they were given 55%. This would mean the complete exploration of the Borderland map would be offered to both groups and payment from the benefactor would be received.
However, the BIG question is who receives payment and then gives the other group the agreed upon percent. We shall see as this negotiation continues next week!
Allis Habba Al' removes the leather covering on his left arm and starts nibbling on its stump!
If they don't want to fight, that's fine with me. But at some point, when we finish the west side, we have to go to the south. As long as they stay out, of our way, and don't interfere with what we need to do, to complete this mission. I am fine with not picking a fight with them. But I just don't see it going that way.
You know what. I am starting to get tired of all this, hoopla, with this Habba group. I am a member of the Wicked Wench. And so are the rest of you. I might just come to the meeting, with my Wicked Wench tattoo out, for all of them to see. And say, we need to go to the south. And this tattoo, says that I can. So, stay the hell out of my way. Meetings done.
Kylor Speaks: We KNOW very little about the group Allis Habba AL. So we have no real tactics to prepare.
Based upon appearance and our very little interaction:
The beast could be a fighter/barbarian and thus very dangerous to directly confront.
Allis may also be some type of fighter/barbarian but he could also be some sort of fighter mage.
I feel like one of the women is possibly a witch or oracle, and the other may be a sorcerer or wizard.
The client one.. my only guess is a rogue or assassin.
OF COURSE, this is ALL SPECULATION. But it gives us something to concentrate on how to tactically handle such a group quickly, and efficiently, in order to ensure our victory.
Kylor Speaks:For an agreement to get reached, there must be trust and respect. There is none from the AllisHabba al group towards us, for they have not honored their previous agreements with us. I do not wish to gain a long-term enemy here either. We don't have to fight to the death but must demonstrate that we are not to be taken lightly either. Going into conflict with them is not my first desire however I feel that they have left us no real choice here, due to their own actions.
I agree with others that stated we are not in a position to negotiate with the coin gained from this mission..yes the captain we hired for this and we have no knowledge or right to do so.
But does that mean we have to battle to the death with these folks. Can no other agreement be reached?
Can't we propose we can both do our best on this mission without interference from each other?
Can we think about some other way to make it attractive to the group to leave us to our business? Perhaps information they could find valuable?
A little diplomacy on a mutually beneficial agreement could go a long way towards preventing death and destruction, or at best case, gaining a long term enemy?
This of course is contingent on there being no evil among their group.
If this is the case, it changes my approach. and of course, if we are attacked!
But everyone is ready to throw arms when it may not be necessary!
Meese under contract with Captain until end of March and don’t plan on breaking me oath. Weese can’t negotiate agreement which weese don’t sign and 55/45 show weakness. Meese appreciate diplomacy but ‘Hubba Bubba’ play by their own rules. Sharpen your ax, polish your iron and prepare for battle. Never trust one-armed man who can't scratch own itch!
We've attempted to negotiate with them several times. Each time it appeared to work but they ended up doing what they wanted and saying that our rules do not apply to them. For this reason alone I do not trust the negotiation.
Sindrax, has really put out some points that we have not considered. All of these points seem to be valid. . First we do not have any rights to negotiate any money for that has already been negotiated by the captain. We also do not know what the captain negotiated and why
.Our captain has given us a mission and expects us to complete it.
This group is a direct obstacle incompleting our mission successfully. And let us not forget that the captain hates most of all his crew shows weakness and incompetence.
Yes I've been a proponent for negotiation because I always believe that we should try to get out of a conflict with words before coming to blows. However as I stated before this group has showed me that through their actions their words cannot be trusted. I feel the only resort that we have left is conflict. I am with sindrax on this.
First of. I will say. We have no right negotiating any type of payment, with this situation. We are working for the captain on this mission. We have no idea what HE even negotiated, for us to be on this mission. Is he receiving 100k in gold coins. Is he receiving 200k in gold coins. Is he even receiving any coin at all for us being here. Maybe he owes someone a favor, and this is way he is repaying them. Did you ever think that maybe, that maybe the captain is doing this, because someone has a family held captive and by us doing this mission, they will be set free. The point is we don't know what the captain is getting for us, doing this mission. Which means, we can't negotiate at all for this mission.
Do we even know how much this group is even getting for this mission? No, we don't. They may be getting 5k for this. I am very surprised at the group, with this. You think the captain, is just going to sit back, and be like. Ohhh you guys did complete the mission. Maybe next time, you will do better. I don't think so. And some people are complaining that, they are not getting anything out of this mission, and captain is getting it all. I didn't hear you saying anything, when the captain told us, about this mission. If we don't complete this mission, someone is going to be walking the plank, maybe even two. I would rather take my chances fighting this group, then walking the plank.
Another thing I will say. If I get out voted or whatever happens with this situation, that we make a deal for the 45/55. Then we are taking one of their group members hostages. I am not going to take their word, that they will just give us, the 45%
Sindrax brings up some VERY valid points. Are any here to negotiate against his thoughts? If Sindrax's direction is taken it seems like direct conflict with the Allis' Habba Al group! Is that where you're headed? Direct conflict with another adventuring party which may be as skilled as you if not more (even much more)?
Of course, they could be less experienced but what are the chances of that 😉
If you do battle, are you out to kill and take their items or simply beat them, allow them to live and move on?
On another note, let us not forget about Umbar Harsk the old thin human male within the Borderlands with his purple fungus plant pets. In the end he did agree to move out from his reclusive space but that remains to be seen.
Interesting points Sean/Kylor. Could this turn into another BFA? Possibly, as at this point there is a level of discomfort, I think from both groups. Where that goes, we shall see!
I like that some players are NOT forgetting who they are and that's PIRATES! Now some players are not real inherited pirates but have been placed into this lifestyle and are "pirates" in one sense or another as well.
I believe that it would be best if both groups go together, and that Allis Habba Al' group submits for payment. This ensures that they receive payment, and fulfills our agreement with them. By us going it ensures we get our agreed upon payment and have something to give to Captain Bluebeard. IF this agreement is followed both parties walk away with something and some respect for one another. (as a player: I dont want this group to be another Black Fire Adapts situation; which it truly feels like it is growing into, we will need to act before they become a real issue)
