DM Speaks:
Tonight, we played out a very lengthy battle against 2 stone giants which were situated on the opposite side of a large underground lake. This battle was long but fun with group members flying across, with some having better skill than others. You also had to get Bilsbi across which Jevon did his best. Ultimately the group was successful in defeating these two stone giant guards of the Abbey.
After defeating them, the group identified wide stone stairs leading deeper below. As you contemplated the interest a dark silhouette of two male drow walked stoically up from the stairs and invited the group to accompany them into the Abbey below to meet their leader.
Do you accompany these drow, attack them or do something different? Next week shall decide.
Remember your goal on this mission is to determine why the slave trade with Menzoberranzan (particularly Jevon's House Faen Tlabbar most notably) has stopped with the Abbey. Why are no more slaves being sent by the Abbey?
UPDATE: Also, sorry for my low monotone voice tonight 😉. I was able to pull through mostly with only a couple of coughing breaks.
I feel like new leadership came and enchanted members of the Abbey to their own purposes....do we not agree it is best to liberate them? We could gain assistance as they may be loyal to my house Tlabbar and our prior agreement,,,
If we follow them we may be brought somewhere not to our advantage...
Linli Speaks:
If we get information, then what? Do we allow them to move back into the Abbey alone. I am not following them under any circumstances. If that means they must be eliminated, then so be it especially if they try and force us to follow.
I do not suggest, dispelling the enchantment they are under. Right now, they dont seem hostile. And if the enchantment is dispelled they may turn hostile and right out attack us. I feel that they are just guides to lead us into the abbey. We should talk to then more, to get as much information as possible before going forward. I may have an ability to do this very action. Are we to destroy every creature within the abby?. If we did that, then the slave trade would not continue. Unless we are going to control that function ourselves. Yes we destroyed the two stone guards. Because that was there sole purpose. And probadly didnt have the authority to do anything, but that. We tried to talk to them. And they were not having it, or possibly allowed to do anything else but that. There is definitely more to this story, than we know. Or maybe even the matron mothers know. It may be best to figure out why, someone new is in charge. And forum a new deal, with them. I just feel we are not powerful enough to destroy every thing in this place. And that just might not be the correct action to take here. If we meet with the leader , things could go better.
Here is the situation in 3D terrain.
Jevan speaks:
We sense these Drow have been enchanted. I will try to dispel it...
We should not follow them in the condition we are in....we will be easy to take in the depleted and injurious stae we are in after the battle with the Stone giants
Linli Speaks:
Thanks, boys, for helping Bilsbi and I pull through this tough situation. I am bothered by my inability to stay strong throughout these battles. I must do better, and I promise I will try my best to do just that. However, that in no way deters my ability to lead, guide and give great suggestions.
My initial thoughts are NOT to trust these drow. Not only are they drow, but they are drow coming from the Abbey which has just been taken over. I say we lure them to us and try and take them down and gather information. Subdue them into submission and see what we can find out about what is below the stairs. Jevon and I will try and gather the information and if they fail to cooperate then I leave that to Nint' Zar and Ves' zt to handle.
