So tonight, was MUCH fighting! In this one building you had to battle various creatures of various power. The good news is the group was able to destroy them all. Maybe this means you would have been accepted as guards of Myth Drannor. Either way Angis was killed by the Roper and was luckily brought back to life. I am sure the Roper memory will not be forgotten!
The good news is ALL creatures have been defeated and the door to the next room has been opened! What mystery and excitement resides within? I'll say MUCH! When do we not have a fun game? Never!
Oh, wanted to add it was good that we ended the Triad Card issue for Aymon!
By Gorum, I will not seek rest and peace until the next creature encountered is eliminated by my hand. Only then I will be content and the blackness brought on by the black tendrils will be forgotten.
Sean Speaks: AS far as Myth Drannor ... I love what we have been experiencing here. Even in the book MythDrannor is such a place of wonder and is ever-changing ... and this has that same feeling. One moment you are fighting ghosts and undead and the next you are fighting demons, constructs, and creatures of wonder. John, your doing an amazing job, and love that we never know what is going to be found in a building or even behind the next door. Truly a job well done. I am having a blast
Brylann Speaks: I still find it hard to believe that the Deck of Many things was able to make Angis attack Aymon. I was impressed how he was able to resist both the magical effects used to try to subdue him as well as the physical attempts to subdue him. Angis just displayed how a Gorum Worshipper relies upon their strength and skill to overcome a challenge. Way to go Angis !! I am glad that Aymon was able to safely escape the situation. I was surprised that such a creature could take one so powerful out so quickly. A creature that is able to weaken you with every strike, seems to be one monster of nightmares and not one I would want to encounter soon. However, at least we have a better understanding that different tactics are needed for such a creature. I am glad that Angis was able to be brought back. I look forward to seeing what else this building has to offer since all the creatures have been treated and now the other door seems accessible to us now.
DM Speaks:
Myth Drannor allows me to be exceptionally creative with ideas which I love. So many interesting opportunities and out of the ordinary buildings and situations. That's a great deal of fun for me and I am enjoying it tremendously. Now, I do have some things in mind that will throw you for an unexpected loop here in Myth Drannor but we shall see if that plays out.
I do say. I was surprised at the proper, being able to take Angus down, like that. I will say I, myself underestimated that creature. You can never assume anything in this game. And my answer to the DM question, is. I am definitely having fun. I will admit me being 67 years old now, is not the greatest. My survivalabily has gone down a bit. But it has made me a better sorcerer with my increased mental abilities. And I also think, from a RP perspective, it's going to be fun playing as an old man. Especially to people that have know me before, to now see me as this old guy. This game always has so.many twists and turns. And I love it. I am one that likes change. It keeps me coming back for more.
That roper was tuff but nowhere near the epic Roper Lord! Nah, only kidding as there's no such thing but you never know! I want the group to enjoy Muth Drannor with its limitless exploration opportunities. Where have you ever been able to walk into one building and potentially engage in a completely different environment, world or experience? I'd say never before. That is what Myth Drannor offers. However, keep in mind this ruined city has secrets which are said to be left untold and finding them can lead to serious issue!
Radan speaks:
Yes by the luck of Desna we were successful and able to bring Angus back to lead us!
I must say I underestimated that Roper...I didn't think it was powerful enough to eliminate any of us....much less Angus! He sure did well and had a few tricks up his sleeve when resisting the party efforts to subdue him! Maybe the group wore him down for the Roper??
