DM Speaks:
Wonderful game tonight with the group having great success in their dealings with the entrance Troll. Good job with that. You also did well in working with the whores you chose in either getting information or simply getting what you did or didn't want. Finally, and most important, you were able to kill both the Cuestodaemon and Barlgura which guarded the doors leading below. WOW!
Next week you start identifying and unlocking the correct door which leads to the chambers of Desicus and Beluri you think!
Hope you are having fun, but I assure you things will only get "better" and more entertaining!
Taladel. Are you a 100% certain, that information is from your god. We all know Dessicus could be behind this. And trying to cause us to be divided.
Taladel speaks:
I am horrified to have to share that my Goddess may have come to me with warning that one of my Sea Dog allies has made a deal with Desicus to insure his own survival...
I am looking currently at the validiy of this contact.
I just wanted to make a last minute offer for anyone that does not wish to take part in this battle...please leave now and there will be no anger of any kind. We, or I need to know those next to me, are truly next to me.
We are about to achieve our goal the defeat and destruction of Desicus. As a player, I feel this is a situation where we can achieve a truly epic goal and will set up the SeaDogs to do even greater things
DM Speaks:
I'd guess as players you get excited (and nervous I'm sure) for battles like this. I want you to know I get just as excited and nervous. I'm so looking forward to this confrontation with Desicus and Beluri and hate to admit it, but I want victory for Desicus and his demonic love Beluri! I can see a great epic future for him and if the Sea Dogs fail maybe some group in the future will deal with him and succeed.
I will NOT push him on any future campaign, but Desicus would still be around and have influence on Krinthius and the Abyss if he is victorious against you! We shall see!
We will play this battle out fairly and slowly to ensure both sides make the best decision each round as it will be an all or nothing end. I've already said I'm not sure how well Desicus and Beluri will stand up to the Sea Dogs. Maybe they will wipe the slate clean with you or maybe they will be defeated more easily than expected (which I hope not). However, in the end I hope it is a fair and close battle which will be remembered!
Wow. Cant believe, next game. May be the final battle. After all this time, on the wicked wench and such. It's kind of all come down to this next game. As for Dessicus. He is probably messing with us. To place doubt in our heads. I was a littlesurprised at Beluirs responses.
DESICUS and BELURI Conversation:
Beluri Speaks: They come my beloved!
Desicus Speaks: Yes, they do. It is quite exciting.
Beluti Speaks: Is it really? When is it exciting knowing ones are coming to kill you?
Desicus Speaks: When it is individuals you wish to kill yourself! I want to show them my strength and how foolish they are traveling here in their attempt. I want to KILL THEM ALL!
Beluri Speaks: Ah, I understand. Destroying your enemies offers great satisfaction!
Desicus Speaks: YES, but one may survive.
Beluri Speaks: Why?
Desicus Speaks: Because of an understanding I've made with one!
Beluri Speaks: Hee, hee, hee! Interesting! More details?
Desicus Speaks: Not now my love, but you shall see. Enemies can become allies.
Beluri Speaks: I am very curious and interested!
DM Speaks:
I understand the groups concern and worry about this confrontation. I cannot dismiss it as it is very dangerous and threatening. You are facing two individuals (1 an actual enemy) that are extremely powerful. We are looking at epic in scale possibly.
However, you are 15th level individuals, and this challenge is equal to your challenge rating. It is one that may be slightly higher, but it is NOT ONE that is way overboard. You have a good chance.
With that being said there are things that can turn the tide in your favor or against and we shall see how this unfolds. Desicus and Beluri are POWERFUL but are the two of them more powerful than the Sea Dogs?
The Brothel situation was one to aid you. It was all about you being able to gain information from the ones you were delighting with. I'd say you got around 50% of the information you could have. Some players got more than others, but information was at the offer. Using intimidation or diplomacy with the ones you were with could have revealed information. I know some gained information and that weas great, but there was more to be found out.
