DM Speaks:
After more exploration of Dwakkah the group has decided to head back to the Abyss and challenge Desicus and Beluri!
WOW!
Completely unexpected, but I'm certainly looking forward to it as I'm so excited for this epic battle. It is so cool that Taladel has rejoined the group for this mission and now Mike will be playing 2 PC's! Awesome, unexpected and one of a kind! Curious to see how it plays out!
In the end I feel this will be either a TPK or Desicus and Buluri will die.
I do NOT think this will be a battle where either side flees! This will be for "all the marbles" and as DM I am excited for it to happen! Let's get it on and see if the Sea Dogs continue or their end is by the upcoming Demon Lord Desicus!
DM Speaks in anticipation:
I think Desicus and Beluri are ready to battle from a DM perspective. I've been wrong before, but this time I don't think so. Desicus plans to battle to the end. As you, he is tired of the games with the Sea Dogs and wants to be rid of you. He has plans but his focus is deterred by your existence. He is obsessed with your demise with his psychotic nature in eliminating you. He has lost reality with anything besides the elimination of the Sea Dogs and his path to healing is your death!
DM Speaks Again:
When this battle happens, I have some thoughts
1) I'm glad Ollie has gained a good deal of levels and will certainly be a relevant part of the battle.
2) I'm glad the group is taking on this challenge and not allowing Desicus and Beluri to laugh and disgrace the Sea Dogs.
3) I'm overwhelmingly excited for this battle no matter how it plays out.
4) If the group wins it will be an epic victory which should be celebrated as players and characters.
5) If the group should lose then at least accept you lost to a worthy opponent that no other could stop or destroy.
6) A new campaign saddens me as I really like what we're doing, I like the current group level and opportunities moving forward. I would miss the Sea Dogs, Captain Bluebeard, Queenie Red and the Deacon Ocean tremendously. Too much fun ahead to end it now.
7) A new campaign excites me but not as much as if we lost this one as I'm too vested and interested in what we have now. However, in time I'm sure we will all grow to love where we go next - the Underdark!
8) I predict the Sea Dogs will lose and be gone. No one escapes and the campaign will sadly end. I feel you underestimate Desicus and his planning. He's recognized his shortcomings in the last battle and has eliminated them. I feel there is a chance for a rather quick and unsatisfying battle for the Sea Dogs.
9) The Sea Dogs think they're smarter than Desicus and that will be your downfall. He is much smarter than you and more prepared than you could ever imagine.
DM Speaks:
Can't wait for the encounter to happen! You've learned much but so has Desicus and Beluri.
The leader of the Sea Dogs has called for unity. I'm sure all will openly say they are united in the cause but once again are they truly?
Time will tell but Desicus and Beluri chuckle with a devious smirk.
Kylor Speaks: SeaDogs, Taladel you had a bigger impact on each of us than you truly know, you have always been our moral compass and you made us better for it.
It is good to be back together and united in our mission and cause. Our enemies will be ready, and the fight will not be an easy one. But we are stronger, more resilient, and more focused than ever. Let us channel our anger into unwavering determination, for all that they have done to us. I believe that we have already won. They played their games and tried to destroy the SeaDogs by sowing mistrust, doubt, and preying upon our fears. Yet, we have emerged from the fire stronger and more united than ever before, with a bond of trust that cannot be broken and fears that have been conquered.
Because of our past experiences, we have gained wisdom, courage, and strength. We will defeat them. This fight is all or nothing, and we will not waver. If we are to go out, we will go out with a resounding bang and take them down with us. Stand tall, SeaDogs. Rise above the challenges. With our unity and resolve, together, we will prevail and emerge victorious.
Stay strong in our belief in each other. Stay united in our Brotherhood. Victory is within our grasp.
It seems like Desicus, has awoken a Sleeping Giant. And we all know how that turned out.
Taladel speaks: I must say this is unexpected...I really doubted that the group had any consious or any sense of responsibility at the end...It seems I was wrong...
I know this very well could be our end. And if that is the case, lst;s take at least one of them with us!
But I belive in my heart we can win this. I know I had hurt him the last time I faced him...The look of disbelief was on both Decisus and Beluri's face. With all of you by my side this time, evil will fall..
