DM Speaks:
The group has done well making their way up the stalactite of Nintr' Zar's House of Srune' Lett. You were able to kill a Draegloth guardian as well as drow priests of the house. However, on floor 5, supposedly 1 floor before Matron Mother Srune' Lyris Lett you encountered 3 Shield Golems which seemed way beyond your capacity.
You start next week in battle with these significant guardians of the house.
On another note, Nint' zar took direction of the Black Dragon Zilvaran to strike each of his party members in the face! Shocking to say he followed the dragon's direction without question.
Irony or not Nint' Zar was killed by the steel guardians and had to be raised by Linli using a personal scroll.
Many bad actions by one member but who cares - HE IS DROW!
We start next week with some knowledge on these Shield Golems.
Immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance.
They have a shield block ability which has a 25% chance per attack by an enemy to cause an electrical charge to strike back at the attacker.
Powerful Blows - Adds 1 1/2 times its strength bonus to damage rolls.
DM Speaks:
I hope the group is successful on this mission, but for selfish reasons. Primarily because of the missions prepared and planned ahead. One I am overwhelmed with excitement to play as it has a great environment, different type of enemy and simply fun terrain. It would certainly be a different type of mission as well as game play.
Another reason is I'd like to see how things play out with the group controlling a house of their own. This is an unknown for me with regards to how you play it. Will you be offensive, defensive or somewhat neutral in your movement within the Menzoberranzan Hierarchy. This also has the yet untold story of Zilvaran leading the house as the Matron Mother. Will this be a good choice, bad choice or something in between. I have some plans for this, but they can change in a games notice depending on how things play out by you.
Finally, I'd like to get involved in some big, hefty, dangerous missions of major renown. A few players have given input on missions and/or journeys they'd love to play and I heard them. These are old school D&D modules. I'm leaning in a certain direction, but depending where the game goes, I may have to jump on another. Yest, undetermined.
