Aboard the Grendel

DM Speaks:

We start next week with the group on board the Grendel trying to locate the Tempest. Simple goal, so how difficult can it be. The group battled again Duergar Zombies on board.

Most important was the discussion with ones on board below. Linli, the gnome Druid and her basalisk companion Bilbsbi were an interesting duo. As she said it is her boat! You have obtained a Basilisk Egg for her!

What do you have to add on both of them? Opinions, thoughts - I'd love to hear!

Yes. It definitely was a quite weekend. But I feel it was quiet. Because everyone has alot to possibly say. Depending on how this plays out. This might be crazy game.

Sean Speaks: The surface gnome druid provided the group with valuable information about Basilisk. I think there is still much we dont know about her/him. Alot of mystery for the group. Xar'Zin speaks;

It was a smart move to negotiate with Linli. Having an ally opens doors, especially when we can maintain a fair exchange of favors. There's power in partnership, as long as we both get something out of it.

Trust, though? That’s another matter. Trust is like smoke, you think you’ve got it, and then it slips through your fingers. It’s rare, fragile, and often fleeting.

We also need to talk about what comes next. What happens when we actually find the Tempest? Are we just going to take it back? Why? To what end? What are we really fighting for?

As for me, I know what I want: freedom. Not just from the matriarchy or from Lolth’s cruel dominion, but from every chain forged by birth, tradition, and expectation. I want to shape my own fate, to break free of the cage I was born into. The city feels like a tomb, not a home. Why should I serve a system that sees me as expendable at best, or a threat at worst?

I hope this business closes well with Linli. I thought it was a great ally to make in the Underdark!

But it will take much to win her trust. I think she has been reasonable so far. We can only hope that continues...

I know what path I want to take....I hope everyone agrees!

Meeting them, has been an intresting twist, in the game..so far things have gone well with them. But our business is not ended yet.

Next weeks game is going to be HUGE. I have no idea what anyone else is thinking. And not 100% even what I am going to do. I also wonder what will happen if not everyone wants to do the same thing.
