DM Speaks:
After about 3 hours of character and game preparation we were ready to go, and it started with a blast. First, it is great how each of you grabbed hold of your PC and are so ready for them to adventure. I'm excited.
The game started/ended with the group being forced into service by each of their houses to recover an item called the Tempest. This magical staff has its name etched onto its shaft and is aboard an abandoned sea vessel in the Dark Lake. The group must travel there, recover the item and then return it to the Xarxes Pub in Menzoberranzan. A member of each of your houses will be there to take it.
Curiosity does arise as to why each of your houses are working together and simply not sending members of their own house to accomplish this goal. However, as low-level drow you ask no questions and move forward.
How the group plays this out is unknown and I am excited to how you do as there are MANY different options on your part.
Xar'Zin of House Mizzrym / Sean Speak: Yes, this will be a challenge. Yes, the Underdarek is dangerous and unforgiving. I think we have to be open to the adventure and see what options come to us during it. Not being able just to appear somewhere allows the journey to be an opportunity for adventure on top of our task of getting the Tempest. I don't think we will have or need exact details of how we are getting to the abandoned sea vessel in the Dark Lake. This vessel could be near the shore, or once we get to the Lake, we have to get a small vessel either through larceny or negotiation. I must have missed the memory wipe, didn't see that posted anywhere. I, too, would not be keen on that either The major question that comes to mind for me is, yes, our Matrons are pushing us together. But why are we connected? Is it the promise of freedom? Something more than the scraps of favor or something beyond the limitations placed upon us just due to the virtue of being born male? Are we sick of being part of a system that would rather kill us than allow us the choice to pursue our personal interests?

For easy and quick reference, I've created a post under the DM section for you to list the house you belong to.
I's like if you post"
YOUR NAME/YOUR HOUSE
Mike speaks: Yes this will be a challenge. Things we have taken for granted for years are now very difficult tasks...things like swimming, and traveling were a cinch with high ability scores and spells like Teleport..
Healing will aslo be hard to come by without a Paladin or Cleric...
We will have to look at each sitaution as it comes and weigh our options carefully...the Underdark is an UNFORGIVING place!
I will say. This will be tough. I have alot of questions. Things that will be discussed when we all meet up. But my first is. The place we have to get to in on the water. How are we to get there. Do we build a boat. Steal a boat. I dont think we can swim to it. It has to be far down the lake. And as for all the other stuff. I guess we shall see how this all plays out. Not to keen on having my memory wiped.
