First, you got out of the Happy Hunting Grounds and avoided a major battle with the elves! I had all the minis pulled....damn you.
Arriving back on the Endless Stairs you have yet to step on the stair which brings you to the cloud giants or ale but you did encounter many other things on various stairs. I'd say the major stair was arriving within the prison cell of Magister Arbados and Gateway! You ultimately negotiated well but he demanded all the details of the stairs be offered to him first. Is the group going to offer him this? I'm curious!
How ironic you pulled the Magister Stair! It was less than 1% but I'm glad you did. You've steered away from Gateway and Magister but your random roll just brought him back. Thank you!
You did battle a huge mini called the Wishmaster that could have offered each of you wishes but only one PC thought to ask. It was a fun battle nonetheseless and you succeeded.
You start next week at a random stair. Does anyone have any stairs that we played tonight you enjoyed or simply thought were interesting? I'm happy to see the group is enjoying the Endless Stairs and the randmoness. I certainly am!
We also know the BEER STAIR is always Stair 22! Now, you just have to roll that number! Not easy, but remember numbers get "rolled" forward when stairs have been completed already.
That Magister guy makes meese soil meese undies and lose a few whiskers. He was as pleasant as the breath of a Gorgon. Meese rather eat stone than visit again unless drink 100 pints of the worst ale and very drunk.
Kylor Speaks: I have no issue with offering all the details of the stairs we encounter to Magister Arbados; since our mission is to retrieve the Storm Giant sword that is sealed in a box and if we discover the beer stair. I see no conflicts with any of our obligations and it fulfills what was asked of us. Sean Speaks: Magister in my opinion raises the game and the stakes to a much higher level. IF we truly want to be big time ... sooner or later we must swim with the Big Dogs
This i sure to represent great conflict for the group. As eventually we will be in a posisiotn to choose betwen pleasing the Captain...and pleasing the Magister.
The points brought up so far are all accurate. But could anything less be expected as you've been playing the game with me for eternity and know Krinthius and the major players very well. That DOES NOT mean you know it all 😉!
I loved bringing out the Wishmaster for battle but once again you foiled the DM and his attack plan! I wanted the Wishmaster to do some crazy things but I'm an honest DM and go with what the dice say. In this case I lost without that much offering back. Good for you!
I always want the group to win but I like a challenge in most battles. However, the "challenge in most battles" statement somewhat goes against my philosophy as you know in our world you can encounter and engage something 0 to 20+ level regardles of what level you are. So some battles are simple and others can be deadly unless you play them out smartly.
As for Magister Arbados, I did not want to bring him into the game just yet. There would have been a time when I did but not yet. Unfortunately, you rolled that stair and here we are! And when the Magister is in the game he MUST be played out to his fullest potential and nothing less! I wish you luck!
I think I enjoyed the Wishmaster stair the most last night. It was our best battle ina long time. And the fact that we all could have made wishes was really cool, and heartbreaking that we did not take advantage of such!
I don't think Arbados has much respect for anyone on Krinthius, so I was not suprised he would speak of the elves and Queen Chandrilla in any unfavorable terms...
We were lucky to escape his clutches without paying a terrible price...
As a Paladin, I wanted to say as little as possible and assauge Magister's need for dominance wihout being demanded to denounce Taladel's faith in iomedae or commit evil acts!
As for our last encounter. We all know the history of Magister. He is one if the top 3 powerful individuals in the world of krinthius. We could have all easily been destroyed or imprisoned for the rest of our lives. I feel we all did what we had to, in order to escape this situation. Yes, I had to kill an elf. Was he evil, did he break the laws of gateway, was he even really an elf or even there. He could have been an illusion for all i know. But what's done is done. Yes i fell bad for what i did. But i fell i had no choice. I do feel this meeting with the Magister, did gift us with some, possible very valuable and important information. We all know he hates the dwarves and his history. But he did speak in times of hatred towards the elves of quathlous. And the queen. Why does he not favor them, anymore. And he spoke of a choice about destroying the dwarves or the humans. Does he now what to try and destroy the race of humans, like he did the dwarves. If so, why is that? We all know he destroyed the halfing. Does he now have enemies with the dwarves, humans and elf races? Maybe I am looking into his words to deeply. But if I am correct, is something major going to happen to our world of krinthius.
The one stair that I really enjoyed was the triad card one. I know it was an epic stair and no one expect for taladel got a card, because it was guaranteed. But it was exciting to me, to roll and hope to have gotten a good card. Even though I didnt get a card. I was very excited to roll the % and try to get a free card, which could have been a powerful card. Which I could have used for this mission.

I wonder where Sindrax lands on that now...
