Just like the post says. And just for a little fun. If the game was real, what class would you be, based on your real-life traits, abilities, talents, knowledge, etc, etc. I know magic is not real, but I guess there could be some traits, you can have as a real person, that can cause you to pick a spellcaster.
But like I said this is just fun, and curious to see what everyone picks. I will start it off, and you can maybe see what I mean.
In our game, as a real-life character. I would be a Ranger. I have been camping since was like 5 years old. I was a boy scout, as well for many years. I have experience in archery, and military weapons/tactics being in the Army. I never feel uncomfortable in the woods/forest. And feel I could survive, for a while, in the forest types of regions, based on my knowledge and such from over all the years. I also feel like I have a pretty good Dexterity. I also like animals alot. And they seem to like me, for some reason. My wife tells everyone, all the animals love Dan. So based on these things, I have listed. This is why I would be a Ranger.
I will say, as a 2nd class. I would be a cleric. I went to catholic school, my whole life. Was an altar boy, went to church every Sunday, for the longest time. Did a lot of studies, with the catholic religion. And have a lot of knowledge of catholic religious customs, and prayers. So that is why Cleric would be my 2nd choice.
So, what's yours???
I would say Barbarian. My voracious appetite and lack of manners apply 😀
Wow, sean. Those where some very intresting facts, about you. And I can see how all your life traits/schooling falls into those 2 classes. Thanks for sharing. It was an enjoyable read.
What a great question, something that requires some deep thought and self-reflection. Well based upon my real-life traits, abilities, talents, knowledge, etc I would have to say I would be Cleric or an Oracle. Even though I was raised Wiccian, the various religions of the world have always interested me. Being an autodidact allowed me the opportunity to study the major religions of the world (Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, Christianity, Taoism, Judaism, Wiccan, and Paganism). While I currently consider myself an atheist, that does not mean I do not respect religion, especially the customs and traditions. In my studies, one message rings true with all of the religions; be a good person, treat others with kindness and you will be rewarded. I would be a good cleric/oracle because I am a good, kind, and generous person who believes that helping others is the right thing to do. My skills as a therapist would allow me to comfort those that come to me for help. My skills as social worker would allow me to thrive in the bureaucracy of organized religion. The second class that I feel that I would be able to thrive in is that of a Wizard. I have always been a voracious reader. I enjoy learning, especially history, how things work, and science. I have always loved the theories of time travel, alternate realities, and the multiverse. I have been an autodidact from an early age. I did not have the confidence to attend college until my early thirties (32). AS you guys are aware, I got my baccalaureate in Psychology, Art History, and Studio art where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. A feat that shocked me since academically I was horrible in grade and high school because I moved so often. I also went on to get a Master's degree from NYU in Art Therapy and a second Master's Degree in Social Work from CUNY (all three degrees I accomplished while being in the gaming group). I love academia and could easily see myself going for my doctorate. So I believe my love of learning is what will make me a great wizard.
Interesting and fun post. I have my thoughts but will post it Wednesday when I have more time.
