Deacon Ocean Floor - Ashtire Shadowsphere

DM Speaks:

We start next week with the group at the bottom of the Deacon Ocean looking at the Ashtite Shadowsphere! Imagine it as an upside-down triangle. It seems you can only gain entrance from the pointed bottom of the structure. Inside supposedly resides some unknown community.

The Sea Dogs are about to see the reality of what's inside for Captain Bluebeard and his pockets!

It is not this straight with the lines, but it is of this shape. The walls and ceiling are much more ragged and curved but form a triangle shape.

Kylor Speaks: We are about to enter the Ashtite Shadowsphere we need to be ready for anything. We also have the man that rescued by the Captain who provided this information. (he says he worships Caden but has the mark of Asmodeus tattooed on the back of his neck ) We all need to be ready for anything from his and inside the spire.

Sean Speaks: I believe this is more connected to Desicus than we currently think. The reason I feel this is the guy with SeaDogs, his response to learning that someone attacked a temple of his god, his tattoo, plus this Shdowspere itself has an otherworldly feel. Could I be wrong hell yeah, but it could also be correct

DM Speaks:

An opportunity with Desicus was before you, but it was decided not to take advantage of it. I could be way off on why you didn't engage him, but I'll throw them out anyways.

I believe there may have been concern entering his location behind the worship hall. He summoned minions, sent them out and maybe you were concerned with what more was behind the door. You like to have the advantage and in this circumstance you didn't. Desicus was prepared and defensively positioned. He was ready for you!

I believe there is worry and caution with regards to his power and ability to eliminate some if not all the group in battle. There might even be some indecision as to whether some really want to take on this risk. I look at this as the group being hesitant with their conviction.

Desicus and his unholy crusade may not impact you directly, but he is gaining power and is an undeniably evil individual. Maybe his actions are not a concern as of yet to all the group but there may come a time when it does. When and if this happens, it may be too late!

I am good with putting it off briefly.

We have to try to take him by suprise or at leat minimize this preparation time...

I agree that , not having me and taladel there in person. To control our own characters. Would definitely, not help the battle. But I will also say. That the Dessicus thing, has gone back and forth, for a while now. And there was a decision made to battle him. So the next time we see him. Its battle time. And we should be firing off attacks, on-sigh of Dessicus. As we know I tried to change everyone's mind about fighting him to begin with. But a decision and vote was made. And it has been decided. I am sorry to say. But I dont want to debate this everytime we encounter him. He will and should be attacked onsight.

I know that Taladel and Kylor wanted to move ahead and as Leader I could have pushed that ... but as a player decided not to go that route due to both Taladel and Sindrax not being present at the game table. This was a epic moment that needed all present for. Especially since this was Taladel's fight since he spent the trump for it .

The Captain sent a message to return at once. Kylor teleported the group back to the Captain. (Teleport was cast, and saving throws were allowed for ) As a leader, I had to make a decision and I did it in the best interest of the group. Trust me Taladel, I too am dedicated towards defeating Desicus, my eyes have been opened to the threat that he is. However, we also have a responsibility to the Captain and the Wicked Wench.
