So, the group has returned to Myth Drannor after heading to Montravail and selling the Golden Scepter of Ra (coins have been deposited into accounts - a large sum at that). Tonight, was dangerous as the group battled a wandering group of demons consisting of Balor Lord Exarch along with 5 Vrock! The group fled this battle heading to Montravail for safety and need. The need at Montravail was the pull of the Deck of Many Things for Servoss.
Once in Montravail he was led to a local pub in the Coterie District where he was met with a female half/elf named Lunetta the Trailblazer who apparently is the leader of the Tarasco Guild. She instructed Servoss to deliver a sack of "something" to an unnamed individual at a fork in the road north of Montravail. This was done and the one receiving the sack was no other than SATIC the Master Assassin. He displayed his abilities to the group and even threatened Aymon appearing behind him with dagger to the throat without warning. In the end the group gave him the merchandise and left successful!
Oh, I think after tonight ALL Deck of Many Things have come to a conclusion. Took some time after the pulls but I think it's all ended. I will double check my sheet.
Did I forget anything with tonight' game?
Lunetta's picture below. I love adding pictures of NPC's you've met for flavor.
And here is Satic!
Seems to be pretty heavy armor for an assassin. Hmmmmm? Who knows and the mystery of the Grandfather Assassin Satic continues as he likes!
Interesting perspective Dan on the Pale Elves...Yes I want to return and would like to battle those Demons when we are at full strength for sure
I really have to say Myth Drannor has been among my favorite settings in the game possibly ever. And please remember Radan has died here twice! There is just such a variety of challenges all so accessible and its so much fun. Every building is like another world of possibilities,
I always as a player wanted to explore it, and it fit so well into my character's ambitions for exploration. And thanks to John for bring it to life so amazingly! Saying it did not disappoint doesn't nearly to it justice. It has been a highlight truly!
I was pretty nervous during that encounter. He could have, easily killed the entire group. It was cool to meet with him, since he is such a powerful and epic NPC. I would like to hear about his work. But I guess being a great assassin, means concealing your actions. And he definitely is the best, of the best. The only story that I know of him, is when he could have killed Arbados. And for him to get that close to him and bypass all his defenses in his castle. Is truly epic, in itself. I am glad to have that knight card , done. And I am looking forward to going back to Myth Drannor. I do feel that the longer we are there, the deadly the place becomes. This place is no joke, and can easily take, younger adventuring parties. I almost feel like the pale elves, let us venture around, knowing that we would probably be taken out, be the things in myth Drannor. And then we would not be an issue, or bother to them any longer. But that is just my opinion.
DM Speaks:
I was very glad to use the rotating display turntable last night for the Blue and Brown Scragglemaw brothers. That was the perfect situation for its use.
