Congratulations to John D for his overall victory w/ 146 points 5 Wins and had 1 undefeated monster and to Dan for coming in Second place w/ 126 points 4 Wins and had 1 undefeated monster. I cannot believe that I snatched 3rd place with only 1 win w/ 103 points. Mike was able to get 3 wins and had 1 undefeated monster which in and of itself is impressive.
A MINI (not a Pathfinder or WotC but something different)
XP Reward: 10,000 xp's
Replay: When desired you move back 1 round in game play and redo a situation. This does not allow you to re-roll an attack (of any type), damage, ability check, skill check, saving throw or an enemy's attack on you. However, it does have many options and here are some examples. There are many other ways to use the replay, but I wanted to give an idea of its use.
1. If you said something that went wrong, you could go back 1 round of conversation and act as though it never happened.
2. If you went left instead of right and left was a nasty trap you may go back and go the other way (right).
3. If you fell while climbing you may decide to go back 1 round and decide NOT to climb the cliff knowing, you’d fall.
4. If you failed a Swim Check and are drowning you can decide to go back 1 round and decide NOT to jump in the water.
5. If you went through a mystical wall and found yourself plane shifted to the Abyss you could go back and decide not to go through the wall!
6. If you tried to bypass a trap and failed, you could go back without failure.
Once you go back the round you cannot reattempt the situation you are looking to avoid. You must make a different choice.
POINTS NOT DONE - MONSTER USES AND BUFF ADDED ALREADY
The next game is the Monster NPCBattle Game! What's this?
For this game you have a team of Monster NPC’s and use one in battle each week. You choose your Monster NPC team at the beginning of the game, and they are with you throughout! Each week you will decide which of your Monster NPC’s will engage in battle. You can use each Monster NPC 3x’s before they can no longer be used in battle. Each week all losing and winning Monster NPC’s will have their injuries and HP’s completely restored for the next week of battle. However, once again each can only be used 3x throughout the game and the game runs 15 weeks so that means EVERY Monster NPC on your team will enter 3 battles.
Each week every player will email me which Monster NPC they're using in battle no later than FRIDAY at 11pm. If a submission is not sent on time that player is considered 5th place that week and their highest ranked Monster NPC is considered used 1x.
Points Overall
In this game everybody gains points every week but of course some more than others depending on how well your Monster NPC did in battle that week. The more points you gain the better as points determine the winner. In this game you gain points in 2 primary ways.
Result Points
Depending on where your Monster NPC finishes in battle that week you gain Result Points. Everyone gains Result Points, but you gain more the closer your Monster NPC is to winning. If they won, you gain the most.
As an example, if your Monster NPC was eliminated 1st out of the 5 competitors, you’d gain only 1 Result Point. If they were eliminated 3rd out of 5 competitors, you’d gain 5 Result Points. Below is the chart for gaining Result Points. As you see, winning gains you the most points!
1st Eliminated: 1 RESULT POINT
2nd Eliminated: 3 RESULT POINTS
3rd Eliminated: 5 RESULT POINTS
4th Eliminated: 7 RESULT POINTS
Winner: 10 RESULT POINTS
Rank Points
You also gain points in another way, but ONLY if your Monster NPC won that week. Again, these points are ONLY given to the Winning Monster NPC. No others gain these points. Rank Points are simply the rank of your Monster NPC entered that week. Every Monster NPC is ranked. The stronger a Monster NPC the higher their rank. So, a Rank 1 Monster NPC is the strongest. Below are examples of how you gain points.
If you won and entered a Rank 1 Monster NPC, you’d gain 1 Rank Point for their rank plus 10 Result Points for winning. You'd gain a total of 11 points that week.
If you won and entered a Rank 3 Monster NPC, you would gain 3 Rank Point for their rank plus 10 Result Points for winning. You would gain a total of 13 points that week.
If you came in 3rd Place and entered a Rank 4 Monster NPC you would gain 5 Result Points for coming in 3rd place only. You would gain NO RANK Points as ONLY the winning Monster NPC gains the extra Rank Points.
If you have a Monster NPC ranked 1 that’s great, but if they win, you’d only gain 1 Rank Point. If you have a Monster NPC ranked 4 and they win, you’d gain 4 Rank Points. So, entering a stronger, higher ranked Monster NPC may gain you victory, but the points would be less than if you entered a lower ranked Monster NPC and they won.
Buff Ability
Each player starts the game with 3 Buff Ability Points. These can be used anytime throughout the game but only 1 can be used each week. Using a Buff Ability gains you 1-10 extra Points that week in the game, plus gives your Monster NPC entered that week a +5 to attack, damage and saves. Using Buff Ability Points will ALWAYS gain you extra points, but the amount is dependent on the DM's random D10 roll! I will never cheat on your rolls even if you drive me crazy in the game that week! I promise!
