So, we end with this 2nd level group on another plane! How crazy is that! I would have never expected it!
So now that we are here, we have a necklace that supposedly will help. We start next week on these expansive, most wild and dangerous deep forested lands - The Happy Hunting Grounds!
😛😛
I could swear I heard Zartand whisper 'Uncle, you have aged'!
Xandor Speaks: Has anyone noticed that Zartand has been eerily silent ??? Undead are kinda his area of expertise and yet not a peep ?? Does anyone think that Cszarker may have done something to him ?? I am sure his input could be vital on how to proceed
Well glaze my War Hammer we got ourselves in a jam. We can’t destroy this evil monstrosity and we should not attack Satyr. Running is our only option unless we can uncover the magic held within the necklace and use it against the Lich thus creating an enemy for life. I highly doubt the necklace has the power to destroy the Lich and then we would need to locate his phylactery. Run and don’t look back!
Taladel speaks:
I can agree with going deeper into the woods to find a solution to getting back to our home in Montravail. I am not totally clear as to where we are, but there has to be a way home...
Xandor Speaks:
Warvok, have not the actions and the words o the Satyr and forest folk displayed that they don't trust or like us because we are different and viewed as a threat. I think they want their two threats us and Cszarker to battle and on take out the out and thus leaving them with only one threat. I have little to no faith that they will uphold their agreement. I do agree with doing deeper into the forrest. Perhaps another path will open for us... and it will have us a chance to see what this golden necklace with the green emerald stone is able to do and why Cszarker wanted it so badly.
Warvok speaks. Taladeal, you need to join us, in this. You can not defeat the lich, your death would be for nothing. Your life has more meaning then this. Perhaps if we go deeper into the forest, the forest folk might.attack.him. it's our only, way to defeat the lich, is with the forest folk help.
Xandor Speaks: Teladel, This is one of the times our beloved Principal Pouessal spoke about where we would need to employ restraint and patience that at times we will need to hold back our own pride, beliefs, and morality in check with the situation we are in order to accomplish our goals. I recall Principal Poussai once saying " One's most powerful weapon is courage and knowing when to use it and when to not," I think we should head that teaching now and find a way to get out of here and off this plane and back home. Now is not to time to die facing a foe who truly is beyond our power. I will concede that perhaps this golden necklace with the green emerald stone may be a key/clue to what we need. As you said Teladel "perhaps we already have what we need".
Great posts boys! I enjoy the read and you enjoy the post xp's. Isn't it great to get a gift for just enjoying the game with a post!
Now next week we start in quite a dangerous situation, but you know I always offer a way out. ALWAYS especially when I know the enemy may be beyond your ability! If equal or lower level than you, then possibly no so I should say "NOT ALWAYS"! However, I do believe Csarker the Lich may be beyond 2nd level characters unless there is another MIKE miracle roll!
I hear there's a nice comfortable respite called "the Keep". It's on the Borderlands if you didn't know already.
Taladel speaks:
I will not run from this vile being. I would rather be slain than to dishonor my family and my elven people, and of course my blessed Goddess of Valor!
We need to identify the powers of the gem we hold...perhaps we have already have what we need..and if not, I pray to Iomedae for guidance....
Xandor Speaks: We have to really think about how to move forward. I do not like our situation here; 1) we are facing a great evil that is beyond our scope of capacity of being successful. 2) On top of that we are on a another place with no known way to get safely home. 3) We don't know who to trust or how to move forward. Now we need to really be mindful of our choices moving forward. Our choices will be our ultimate success or failure. We need everyone coming up with ideas and solutions. I agree with Viceak for now about making haste and running for our lives.
DM'ing low level is easy for me but challenging in one regard. That is ensuring group members do not die! As we all know one unfortunate roll by the DM, and it could be over in an instant. As a matter of fact, one unfortunate roll on your end could result in the same.
One thing I would like to say. I am kind of having a ton of fun being low level. Like I feel so powerful when I hit an AC of 16 and 10 points of damage. Sometimes , at like level 12+ if I wasnt doing 40+ hps of damage. On my turn. I was like so weak and useless. At the low levels if you can increase a to hit, by a +1. Or do like 5 more points of damage. It feels so epic. Now I know that our hps are very low and people can get , one shoted,, alot easier. But that battles we have had with this new group, have me at the edge of my seat. It's like the same feeling i had ,with the last group. When I know we where going up against that big group or boss.
Warvok speaks
I think we may have been , tricked by the forest folk. We are now in a very bad spot. And it seems like we have angered the lich. He wants us dead, but I dont think we have the ability to destroy him. I feel are only option is to run, deeper into the forest. Maybe, just maybe the forest folk, will then join this battle. Make haste everyone and run for your lives.
Cszarker Speaks:
I once again move on with a worthless attempt on my undead "life". I cannot be destroyed and just grow stronger each day! I have not even started to unleash my true magic and power! A Csarker Fireball - Reflex save DC 62 everyone!
